Overview

Imagine the convenience of being able to e-mail-

documents directly from your Multifunctional Printer

to any recipient worldwide.

With Scan to E-mail function, you can send scanned

documents to any recipient, or multiple recipients,

as an e-mail attachment in popular formats, such as

TIFF, PDF or JPEG. Simply scan the document on

the MFP, select the recipients from your existing

address book and distribute.

Overview

Scan to FTP is an efficient way to digitize and

transmit large quantities of documents. Simply

scan hardcopy documents, convert them to digital

format, and transmit them to selected folders on

an FTP server.

This feature allows users to scan and transmit doc-

uments at the device without using a PC. Scanned

data stored on the FTP server can be accessed

from an FTP client program or a web browser con-

veniently.

With the Scan to SMB (Server Message Block)

feature, users can store scanned documents

directly to a shared folder in user’s PC. Up to 20

destinations can be designated as a shared folder.

The feature is more secure than Scan to FTP and

allows transmission of larger documents than

Scan to E-mail. Supports MS Windows, TCP/IP

and other network protocols.

Overview

A simple but effective feature that allows scanning

of documents from an MFP directly to a USB mem-

ory. There is no need to use a PC, simply insert the

USB Memory into the ‘Scan to USB’ port on the

front of the SCX-4X20 series, SCX-5530FN and

CLX-3160N/3160FN of MFPs, select the file type

(TIFF, BMP, JPG, PDF) and press the start button.

This feature supports single (via MFP platen) and

Overview

Fax to E-mail enables you to monitor and retrieve

fax documents from your e-mail account. You can

set your fax machine to forward incoming or out-

going faxes to a specified e-mail address in order

to monitor faxes sent from or received via the fax

machine.

When a facsimile document is sent, it is stored in

memory. With the Fax to E-mail feature, the

machine transfers the document as an e-mail

attachment to the configured e-mail addresses

and then dials the fax number and sends the fax.

This enables you to monitor whether the transmit-

ting fax document is sent properly or not.

When a fax document is received, it is stored in

memory. The Fax to E-mail feature transfers the fax

as an e-mail attachment to the configured

addresses and then prints it. This enables you to

view the received document at a remote location.

You can also select an option which allows you to

stop printing the document after it is forwarded to

the specified e-mail addresses.

Forwarding Fax to E-mail

Monitor faxes even from a remote location

Overview

Network Scan solution provides you with a conve-

nient scanning facility. After installing the network

scan application and registering your ID and PIN

code password, all you need is a network connec-

tion to your device, and you can send scanned

images directly from Samsung MFP to your PC’s

HDD.

Copyboard Printing

Overview

ERP and legacy applications often have limited

printing and output possibilities, and are tied to

impact printers and preprinted stationery.

Changing to high-quality printouts, compliant with

your corporate design, on fast and flexible

Samsung laser printers is possible with little or no

change to your applications. MegaForm takes raw

printer data from legacy software and applications

such as JD Edwards and Oracle, and converts it

into finished, professional documents that can be

output on plain paper on Samsung laser printers.

By creating different documents from the same

data (for example, invoices and packing slips), and

outputting it where it is needed (using remote print-

ing, e-mail, fax and so on), it can also reduce costs

Overview

Electronic forms solutions, like MegaForm, help

ensure the cheques and cheque letters printed by

your applications are always legible, correct and

conform to your design guidelines. Unfortunately,

individual cheques can be subject to mistakes or

abuse if not properly integrated into a secure

process.

MegaForm Cheques protects the creation of indi-

vidual cheque letters by controlling access to

cheque printing, confirming cheques before print-

ing, and logging all transactions. By automatically

adding the amount in words and the magnetic key,

it also continues securing the cheque after it is

printed. Because MegaForm Cheque can work

with several named accounts (using secure, blank

cheque stationery) it also cuts out the hassle and

overhead of looking after multiple chequebooks.
