groundedbeforeopeningyourcomputercaseortouchingyourPCI

Expresscard.StarTech.comrecommendsthatyouwearananti-

staticstrapwheninstallinganycomputercomponent.Ifananti-

staticstrapisunavailable,dischargeyourselfofanystaticelectricity

build-upbytouchingalargegroundedmetalsurface(suchasthe

computercase)forseveralseconds.AlsobecarefultohandlethePCI

3. AlignthePCIExpressconnectorontherisercardwithanavailable

PCIExpressslot.

4. Gentlyinsertthecardintotheemptyslot,makingsureitisseated

rmly.Fastenthecardtotherisercardmountingbracketonthe

computerchassis(refertocomputersystemdocumentationfor

details,ifnecessary).

5. InstallthedesiredPCIExpresscardintothex16slotonthe

risercardandfastensecurelytothecomputerchassis(referto

computersystemdocumentationfordetails,ifnecessary).

6. Replaceandfastenthecomputercover.
