USB 3382 AB vs. AA Changes Summary

Introduction
USB 3382AB is a metal-only mask revision for USB 3382AA silicon. The AB silicon revision corrects a
number of issues that were found during testing and validation of the USB 3382AA device. These changes

USB 3382AA Documented Errata Corrected in USB 3382AB Silicon
Enabling ASPM L0s (and L1) on PCI Express ports causes
spurious ERR_CORR messages to be transmitted.
At the 5.0 GT/s signaling rate, USB 3382 transmitters apply 0
dB de-emphasis when they should apply -6 dB de-emphasis
Problems with SuperSpeed U1/U2 Link Power Management
Functions
AC-JTAG instructions are non-functional
Port 0 BAR0 address decode range is larger than requested
DMA channel for USB OUT endpoint may hang under
specific conditions
DMA channel for USB IN endpoint may hang under specific
conditions
PCIOUT endpoint may timeout too soon on PCI Express read
requests
PEX_REFCLK_OUTp/n buffered output clock not valid until
900 usec after PEX_PERST# input is de-asserted.
USB 3382AA Documented Cautions Corrected in USB 3382AB Silicon
USB link may occasionally fail to train at Super-Speed rate in
some cases.
In Enhanced Adapter mode, Link Status registers for virtual
Port 2 and the USB Controller show incorrect values.
