ESAB PAB 6 is a programming unit designed for remote control of both current and voltage. The programming unit is used in combination with a thyristor-controlled power source and a wire feed unit.

Capabilities:

• Preprogramming of three welding current/voltage combinations
• Independent adjustment of welding current (wire feed speed) and welding voltage
• 3-position switch for selecting between different potentiometer groups
• Supplementary welding gun switch for alternating between two of the three preprogrammed parameter sets
• Hot-start capability

Possible use cases:

• Changing from horizontal to vertical welding
