•The battery must be replaced exclusively by qualied personnel (risk of shock),withnewbatteryapprovedby
Eatontoensurecorrectoperationofthe UPS.
•Thebatterymustbedisposedofinaccordancewithapplicableregulations.Toremovethebattery,shutdownthe

1. Operating conditions
• ThisproductisanUninterruptible PowerSupply(UPS)forcomputersandtheirperipherals,televisionsets,stereo
systemsandvideorecorders...Itmustnotbeusedtosupplyotherelectricalequipment(lighting,heating,household
appliances,etc.).

• Plugcriticalequipment(computer,monitor,modem,etc.)intotheoutlets

protection(seegureC),takingcarenottoexceedtheratedcurrentindicatedinamperes.
• Otherdevices(printer,scanner,fax,etc.)canbeconnecttothesurgeprotectionoutlets

protectionoutletsarenotbackedupbybatterypowerintheeventofapoweroutage.

3. Operation
• Battery charge: TheUPSchargesthebatteryassoonasitisconnectedtotheACoutlet,whetherbutton

not.Whenusedforthersttime,thebatterywillonlyprovideitsmaximumperformanceafterithasbeenchargedfor8
hours.ItisrecommendedthattheUPSbepermanentlyconnectedtotheACpowersupplytoensurethebestpossible
performance.
