MowinginExtreme
Conditions
Airisrequiredtocutandrecutgrassclippingsinthe
mowerhousing,sodonotsettheheight-of-cuttoolow
orfullysurroundthehousingbyuncutgrass.Always
trytokeepthebackofthemowerdeckfreefrom
uncutgrass,allowingairtobedrawnintothehousing.
Whenmakinganinitialcutthroughthecenterofan
uncutarea,operatethemachineslowerandbackthe
machineifthemowerstartstoclog.
MowingatCorrectIntervals
Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimesof
theyear.Tomaintainthesamecuttingheight,mow
moreofteninearlyspring.Asthegrassgrowthrate
slowsinmidsummer,mowlessfrequently.Ifyou
cannotmowforanextendedperiod,rstmowata
highcuttingheight,thenmowagain2dayslaterata
lowerheightsetting.

Asharpbladecutscleanlyandwithouttearingor
shreddingthegrass.Adullbladetearsandshreds
thegrass.T earingandshreddingcausesthegrassto
turnbrownattheedges,whichimpairsgrowthand
increasessusceptibilitytodisease.
