The use of the product described in this document is exclusively geared to specialists having

qualifications in PLC programming, electrical specialists or persons instructed by electrical specialists

This documentation describes the use of various hardware and software components in specific

3. Function Description

The Application IoT Box can be used to capture and save energy and operating data and display

its progression over time. The data is made available for further processing steps. The integrated

user interface can be used to parameterize the signals of connected sensors. No programming

experience is required to use the Application IoT Box.

The captured signals (actual values) are saved to the controller’s SD card, preferably in a SQLite

database, optionally as a *.csv file. Furthermore, the captured data can be visualized with the

help of the data plotter. In this connection, see application note “Data Plotter 2019-06-26” on the

visualization tool, which is available for download at www.wago.com.

The Application IoT Box processes process data from digital and analog interfaces arising in the

following domains:

• Electrical energy

• Heat quantity

• Water quantity

• Gas quantity

• Volume flow

• Temperature

• Humidity

For the respective measurements, the sensors to be used must be connected to the

subassemblies from the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 corresponding to the signal type.

Web visualization!

Only one browser (client) can access the Application IoT Box at a time.

Simultaneous display in a desktop browser and a display device is not possible.

Other browsers!

Use of other browsers is possible, but functional limitations cannot be ruled out.

4. Installation

4.1. Transfer Licenses

This chapter is only relevant if you use the "Multicloud Connectivity"!

Note the Tutorials on YouTube

You can find the tutorial “WAGOupload - License Manager” on YouTube. This

video shows how to use the “WAGOupload” software to record licenses and how

to load them onto one or more devices.

1.

Launch the WAGOupload software.

2.

Click the menu item “Synchronize Licenses” menu item to define the devices to which the

licenses are to be transferred.

In this step, the licenses are identified that already exist in the devices. Depending on the

configuration of the devices, a password must be entered beforehand.

3. Enter the IP addresses of your controllers in the dialog or start the search function. The

identified devices are listed.

4. Select a controller and follow the prompt.

5. In the dialog below, select which of the available licenses should be loaded onto the previously

loaded devices by selecting the value “1” in the "Licenses to be Transferred" selection field.

After transferring the licenses, a summary of the process is stored in the log directory in the form

of a proof of use for the licenses. Detailed information on using WAGOupload can be found in the

software manual, which is also available for download.

4.2. Changing Passwords

Retrieval Address for WBM

1.

Open a Web browser in order to open WBM.

2.

Enter the controller’s IP address in the address line: “https://<controller IP>/

wbm” (here: https://192.168.1.17/wbm).

3.

Bypass the security warning by continuing to load the website.

Login/Logout

1.

In the “Login” dialog, log in with username “admin,” password “wago.”

2.

Confirm your entry with the [Submit] button.

The corresponding HTML page loads. If you have not yet changed the password, the

following message will appear: “Security message: please change your password!”

The pre-set default passwords (see table above) do not offer adequate

protection! Change the passwords to meet your particular needs! If you

do not change these passwords, a warning will appear each time you

open a website after logging in.

4.3. Setting the Date and Time

The date and time can be set in the Web-Based Management system of the application controller

on the Clock tab in the navigation bar. These settings are described in detail in the controller

manual.

We recommend synchronizing the time at regular intervals, as the system clock tends to drift. The

Application IoT Box offers two options for this:

1.

Synchronization of the system clock via an NTP server.

2.

Synchronization of the system clock using the GPS signal.

4.3.1. Synchronisation via NTP Server

NTP clients can be set in the Web-Based Management system of the controller under menu item

Ports and Services > NTC Client. These settings are described in detail in the controller manual.

5. Application IoT Box

The Application IoT Box can be opened in a Web browser at the following link: “https://<controller

IP>/webvisu/webvisu.htm” (here: https://192.168.1.17/webvisu/ webvisu.htm).

Login

1.

Click the [Login] button. The “Login” dialog opens.

Log in using your username and password.

2.

Confirm your entry by clicking [OK].

3.

After a successful login, the main window opens.

If the user name or password are incorrect, the dialog stays open.

The preset username is “admin” and preset password is “wago.” You can create and

modify user groups in the "User Administration".

If modules are added, removed or moved after the initial configuration, a warning

message appears after login:
