UsethePREHEATfeatureifthetemperaturefallsbelow–5°C(23°F).DonotholdthekeyinthePREHEATposition
longerthan20seconds.T opreheattheglowplugsincoldweather,turnthekeytothePREHEATposition,andholdit
therefor10-15seconds.ThenturnthekeytotheSTARTposition,andholditthereuntiltheenginestarts.Iftheengine
doesnotstartafter10-15seconds,turnthekeytotheOFFpositionandrepeattheprocedure.Oncetheenginestarts,
releasethekeyanditwillreturntotheONposition.Theenginewillidleinneutral.Theenginewillcontinuetoidleuntil
thekeyisturnedtotheOFFposition.SeepreviousWARNING,CAUTION,andNOTE.
FORWARD/REVERSECONTROL
TheForward/Reversehandle(6)islocatedontherightsideoftheinstrumentpanel(Figure7).Thehandlehasthree
distinctpositions:FORWARD(A),NEUTRAL(B),andREVERSE(C).Pushthehandleuptooperatethevehicleinthe
forwarddirection,orpullthehandledowntooperatethevehicleinreverse.Theenginecanbestartedonlywhenthe
handleisintheNEUTRAL(middle)position.TheenginemustbeatidlebeforeshiftingtheForward/Reversehandle.
SeeprecedingWARNINGandCAUTION.
Husqvarnavehiclesoperateatareducedspeedinreverse.Thereversebuzzerwillsoundasawarningwhenthe
Forward/ReversehandleisintheREVERSEposition.
ACCELERATORPEDAL
Theacceleratorpedal(1)isthepedalfarthesttotheright(Figure7).
WiththeenginerunningandtheForward/ReversehandleintheFORWARDorREVERSEposition,vehiclespeed
willincreaseastheacceleratorpedalispressed.Whentheacceleratorpedalisreleased,itwillreturntotheoriginal

LOWOILWARNINGLIGHT
Thelowoilwarninglight(9)islocatedontheinstrumentpaneljusttotheleftofthesteeringcolumn(Figure7).Ifthe
warninglightlightsup,oilshouldbecheckedandaddedtotheengineasnecessarybeforevehicleusecontinues.The
vehicleshouldneverbedrivenwhenthelowoilwarninglightremainslit.Ifthewarninglightalternatelylightsand
darkens,thevehiclemaybedriven,butoilshouldbeaddedattherstopportunity.Iftheoilleveliscorrectandthe
warninglightremainslit,haveatrainedtechniciancheckthevehicle.SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Failuretoaddoilimmediatelywhenthelowoilwarninglightstaysonmayresultinpermanent
enginedamage.
FUELGAUGE/HOURMETER
Thefuelgaugeandhourmeter(8)arehousedtogetherontherightsideoftheinstrumentpanel(Figure7).Thefuel
gaugeoperateswhenthekeyswitchisintheONpositionandallowstheoperatortomonitorthefuellevelinthevehicle.
Thehourmeteroperatesonlywhentheengineisrunning,andshouldbeusedbythetrainedtechniciantotrackvehicle
usageanddeterminewhenperiodicserviceproceduresarerequired.SeePeriodicServiceScheduleonpage29.
HEADLIGHT/TAILLIGHTCONTROL
Theheadlight/taillightcontrol(12)islocatedontheleftsideoftheinstrumentpanel(Figure7).Presstheheadlight
rockerswitchtoturntheheadlightsonoroff.SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:Usingtheheadlightsforextendedperiodswhiletheengineiseitherofforidlingwilldischargethebattery.
TURNSIGNAL
Therearetwoturnsignalindicatorlights(14)ontheinstrumentpanel(Figure7).Theuppersymbolindicatestheturn
directionforthevehicle;thelowersymbolindicatestheturndirectionforanattachedtrailer.
Theturnsignalcontrol(1)ismountedonthesteeringcolumn(Figure9).Movethehandleuptoindicatearight-hand
turn.Movethehandledowntoindicatealeft-handturn.Returnthehandletothecenterpositionaftercompletingaturn.
NOTE:Iftheturnsignallightburnsout,theindicatorlightontheinstrumentpanelwillashattwicethenormalspeed.
Ifanattachedtrailer’sturnsignallightburnsout,theindicatorlightwillnotash.
HORN
Thehornbutton(3)islocatedontheendoftheturnsignalhandle(Figure9).Pressthebuttonintosoundthehorn.

Theelectricbedliftswitch(13)islocatedontheinstrumentpaneltotheleftofthekeyswitch(Figure7).Toliftthe
bed,pullupandholdthetoggleswitchintheupperposition.Releaseswitchtostopliftingoperation.T oclosethe
bed,pressdownandholdswitchinthelowerposition.Thebedliftwillmakealoudclickingsoundtosignalthe
bedisintherestposition.
HAZARDLIGHTS
Thehazardlightswitch(2)islocatedbehindtheturnsignalhandle(Figure9).T oactivatethehazardlights,makesure
thattheturnsignalhandleisinthecenter(off)position,thenpulltheswitchmarked“HAZARD”untilitislockedinplace.
Todeactivatethehazardlights,movetheturnsignalhandleineitherdirectionandreturnittothecenterposition.
HIGH-TEMPERATUREWARNINGLIGHT
Thehigh-temperaturewarninglight(10)islocatedontheinstrumentpaneltotheleftofthesteeringcolumn,next
tothelowoilwarninglight(9)(Figure7).Thedieselengineisliquid-cooled;iftheenginecoolanthasexceededits
normalsafeoperatingtemperature,thewarninglightwillilluminate.Ifthewarninglightlightsup,stopthevehicleand
allowittoidleforapproximatelyveminutesbeforestoppingtheengine.ContactaHusqvarnadealer/distributorora
trainedtechnician.SeefollowingWARNING.

•Allowtheenginetocoolbeforeservicingtheenginecoolantsystem.Enginecoolantcancause

aslowaspossibleoverthehipsandnotonthewaist.
Injuredperson:Dependingontheinjury,rstcheckwithyourdoctorforspecicrecommendations.
Tosecuretheseatbelt,situpstraightandwellbackintheseat.Pulltheseatbeltoutoftheretractorandinsertthe
tabintothebuckle.Aclickwillbeheardwhenthetablocksintothebuckle.Positionthelapbeltaslowaspossible
onthehips–notonthewaist.
Theretractorwilllockthebeltduringasuddenstop.Italsomaylockiftheoccupantleansforwardtooquickly.Aslow,
easymotionwillallowthebelttoextend,andtheoccupantcanmovefreely.Iftheseatbeltcannotbepulledoutofthe
retractor,rmlypullthebeltandreleaseit.Itshouldthenpullsmoothlyoutoftheretractor.
Toreleasetheseatbelt,pressthebucklereleasebutton(1)andallowthebelttoretract(Figure10).Ifthebeltdoes
notretractsmoothly,pullitoutandcheckforkinksortwists.Thenmakesureitremainsfreeoftwistsasitretracts.

•Loosettingseatbeltscouldincreasethechanceofinjuryduetoslidingunderthebeltifsudden
brakingshouldoccur.Keeptheseatbeltsnugandpositionedaslowonthehipboneaspossible.

•TheHusqvarnavehicleisnotdesignedtomeetchildseatcompatibilityrequirements.Children

•Becarefulnottodamagetheseatbeltwebbingorhardware.
•Inspecttheseatbeltsystemperiodically.Checkforcuts,fraying,andlooseparts.Damagedparts

immediately.Donotoccupytheseatuntiltheseatbeltisrepaired.
DRIVERSSIDESEATCONTROLS
DriversSideSeatAdjustments
Usethepositionadjustmentlever(1)tomovetheseatclosertoorfartherfromthesteeringwheel(Figure11).To
adjusttheseatposition,sitinthedriverseatandraisethepositionadjustmentlever.Slidetheseateitherforwardor
backwarduntilitreachesthedesiredposition,thenreturnthelevertoitsoriginalposition.
Theheightadjustmentknob(2)enablesyoutomodifytheseatheight.Usetheseatheightadjustmenttogetherwith
theseattensionadjustmentuntiltheseatfeelscomfortable.
Toadjusttheseatheight,sitinthedriverseatandpullouttheadjustmentknob(2).Movetheknobtowardtheshorter
indicatortolowertheseatheightortowardthetallerindicatortoraisetheseatheight.
Seattensioncontrolshowrmorsofttheridefeelstothedriver.Increasingseattensionresultsinarmerride;
decreasingtensionresultsinasofterride.
Usethetensionadjustmentlever(3)toadjusttheseattension.Pulloutthetensionadjustmenthandle(3),rotate
thehandletotheplus(+)signtoincreasetensionortheminus(–)signtodecreasetension,andreleasethehandle.
Firmlygraspthehandleandmoveitfromsidetosidetomodifythetensionadjustment.Thetensionindicator
(4)movesclosertothelargerpersonwhentensionisincreasedandclosertothesmallerpersonwhentensionis
