INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PART # 51878
NEW ELEMENT PAN USED ON
POTS WITH CENTER-STUD
Kit #51878 replaces all element pans used on Wells round
built-in warmer models SS-4, SS-8 and SS-10.
An ADAPTER is provided for use on older style non-drain pots with
center stud. To mount this element pan to pots with center-stud:
PREPARATION:
1. Disconnect appliance from electric power and allow to cool.
2. Disconnect electric supply from element. Remove and save
electrical inlet box.
3. Disconnect and save thermobulb and clips (if used).
4.
5. Remove existing element pan.
INSTALLATION:
1. Attach adapter to bottom of new element pan with the provided
screws and nuts. Center hole of adapter must be in the center
of the large hole in the element pan.
NOTE: Discard adapter when installing element pan on pots
with a drain, and on pots without a center stud.
2. Seat element in element bracket. Install element and bracket in
element pan.
3. Reinstall thermobulb and clips (if used).
4. Install element assembly on bottom of pot. The flat face of the
element must be toward the bottom of the pot.
5. Reattach electrical outlet box. Reconnect wiring.
6. Reconnect appliance to electrical power.
Test for proper operation.
