Quick Start Guide

Thank you for purchasing Aetria Workstation. The aim of this document is to

quickly guide you through the process of initial setup.

For more detailed information, relevant User Guides can be downloaded from

www.datapath.co.uk.

GETTING STARTED WITH AETRIA WORKSTATION

To install Aetria Workstation, locate the workstation installation le on the Aetria Installation Media and copy it

locally to the machine that will host the application. Click on the instal.exe le and run the installer.

Accept the license by clicking inside the license checkbox then select ‘Run’. You will then be prompted to allow

the application to make changes to the system. Select ‘Yes’ and the installation will continue. The following

progress dialog is presented:

OPENING THE AETRIA WORKSTATION APPLICATION

Select ‘Aetria Workstation’ from

Start Menu and the Login dialog

is displayed.

Log on to the application using the allocated credentials. It should be noted that the Aetria Workstation will not

work until the Aetria Workstation license has been activated. Details on how to activate the license can be found

in the Aetria Command Center Quick Start Guide.

When the installation is complete

closes the dialog. There may

be a requirement to reboot the

machine.

After logging in, the Aetria Workstation application bar is displayed on the left of the desktop as follows:

1 Panel Expander – Opens the Aetria Workstation application to the right.

Sources - Displays a content tree listing all sources available to the user, locally

and remotely. Sources are listed alphabetically. Sources can be opened as

windows by clicking on and dragging them onto the desktop.

Templates - Displays a list of available templates. Templates are tools

designed to assist in the organization and creation of a layout for your

desktop. Templates can be used to create visual displays over your desktop

enabling users to showcase specic content. Templates can be applied to

the desktop by hovering the mouse over a selected template and clicking

‘Apply’. Sources can then be applied to template cells. To create a template,

click on the ‘+’ icon at the top of the template panel.

Layouts - Displays a list of available layouts. To create a new layout, click on

the ‘+’ icon at the top of the Available Layouts panel. The icon only becomes

available if sources are active on the desktop.

Volume - The volume slider applies to all displayed media sources

containing audio.

Settings – Opens the Aetria Workstation settings dialog which contains the

settings for:

Application Management

General Setting

Keyboard Shortcuts

Layout Settings

Source Settings

Template Editor

Template Overlay

7 Help – Link to the Aetria Workstation help le.

8 Prole – Sign out/exit the Aetria Workstation application.
