Conditions
Airisrequiredtocutandrecutgrassclippingsinthe
mowerhousing,sodonotsettheheight-of-cuttoo
loworsurroundthehousingbyuncutgrass.Always
trytohave1sideofthemowerhousingfreefrom
uncutgrass,allowingairtobedrawnintothehousing.
Whenmakinganinitialcutthroughthecenterofan
uncutarea,operatethemachineslowerandbackup
ifthemowerstartstoclog.
MowingatCorrectIntervals
Grassgrowsatdifferentratesatdifferenttimesof
theyear.T omaintainthesamecuttingheight,mow
moreofteninearlyspring.Asthegrassgrowthrate
slowsinmidsummer,mowlessfrequently.Ifyou
cannotmowforanextendedperiod,rstmowata
highcuttingheight,thenmowagain2dayslaterata
lowerheightsetting.
MowingwithSharpBlades
Asharpbladecutscleanlyandwithouttearingor
shreddingthegrass.Adullbladetearsandshreds
thegrass.T earingandshreddingcausesthegrassto
turnbrownattheedges,whichimpairsgrowthand
increasessusceptibilitytodisease.
AfterOperating
Toensureoptimumperformance,cleantheunderside
ofthemowerhousingaftereachuse.Ifresidue
buildsupinthemowerhousing,cuttingperformance
decreases.
