M1200
packaged air conditioners and heat pumps work
seamlessly and efficiently to increase your comfort
at home. These units are designed to be quiet and
energy efficient while providing comfort and
dependability. For your peace of mind, each Maytag
®
unit comes with the Worry-Free Warranty when
registered, one of the most comprehensive
warranties available.
Unlike most heating and cooling systems, which
are divided into outdoor and indoor sections, a
“packaged” system includes all the components
necessary to heat and/or cool your home in one,
convenient unit.
Advanced Technology
Two-stage cooling operates at lower capacity
during mild summer days and at full capacity
during hotter ones. Because these units run at
a reduced capacity, they provide better comfort
and perform more quietly than single-stage units.
The fixed-speed ECM direct-drive motor provides
higher torque and operating speeds for improved
airflow capacity.

15 SEER/8.0 HSPF and 14 SEER/8.0
HSPF packaged heat pumps provide electric
heating and cooling. During warmer months, they
collect heat from the air in your home and move it to
the outside. In winter, the process reverses, and the
heat pump collects heat from air outside to warm
the air inside your home.
Supplemental heater kits can also be installed with
Maytag
®
packaged air conditioners to heat the home.
Your select Maytag
®
contractor can recommend the
appropriate packaged product and accessories for
your home.
Corrosion Protection
These models feature polyester, urethane-coated
galvanized steel with a 950-hour salt spray finish,
which protects the unit from corrosion 50% better
than other coatings.
Energy Efficiency
Maytag
®
packaged products provide high-efficiency,
less energy consumption and lower utility bills.
You can be sure in the total comfort of your home
that Maytag

packaged products will save you more.
ENERGY STAR
®
certification is awarded to
products designed to reduce energy consumption
and utility costs. To qualify, packaged air conditioner
and heat pump systems must have a Seasonal
Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) rating of 14.0 or
higher and an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of
11.0 or higher. Packaged heat pumps are also
ENERGY STAR rated by a Heating
Seasonal Performance Factor
(HSPF) of 8.0 or higher.
Environmentally Smart
Maytag
®
packaged systems feature a wire coil guard
coated with earth friendly epoxy and a plastic mesh hail
guard that will never rust. They protect the coil from
being damaged by balls, lawnmowers, hail, etc.

evaporator coils to better combat corrosion.
