Troubleshooting Serial Cable Wiring with a
Null Modem Adapter

A null modem adapter can be used to troubleshoot wiring without opening the enclosure of the indicator. This is a temporary fix
to switch the transmit and receive pins of the serial cable connection if it is incorrectly wired. See the indicator technical manual
for connector locations and pin assignments.

Use the following procedure to test the wiring of a serial cable with a null modem adapter:
1. Acquire the correct type of null modem adapter for the serial cable connection.
