Note: Do not place objects on the product. This
interrupts the air fl ow and infl uences the results of
the deep-frying process.
CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY
!
The high temperatures that occur
whilst the product is in operation
would cause the food to burn if
the product were used without
the deep-frying basket
9
. The
surfaces become very hot and
may cause injuries due to burns
if the handle on the deep-frying
basket
9
is missing.

for at least 3 minutes to achieve an optimal cooking
result.
Carefully pull the deep-frying pan
5
out of
the product.
Ensure that the deep-frying basket
9
is correctly
inserted into the deep-frying pan

sired temperature. Infer the appropriate temper-
atures from the ”Instructions for use” section.
Note: The product can be continuously adju
sted
between 80 °C and 200 °C.
Use the cooking time knob
2
to set the
desired preparation time. Infer the appropriate
preparation times from the ”Instructions for use”
section.
Note: A total preparation time of 60 minutes
can be set.
Note: The desired preparation time must be
increased by 3 minutes for cold products that
have not been preheated.
The timer will now begin to count down for the
set cooking time.
Note: During the preparation using hot air, the
heating light
11
switches on and off every so
often. This means that the heating element is
being switched on and off in order to maintain
the chosen temperature.
Surplus oil from the ingredients collects in the
bottom of the deep-frying pan
5
.
Note: The LEDs of the power indicator
10
light
up red / red and green / green during operation.
If the desired temperature has been reached,
the LEDs light up red / red (green goes off ).
Note: You can preheat the product without
adding food. To do so, set the cooking time
knob
2

required preparation time.
Some foods should be shaken 2–3 times at
regular intervals during the preparation time
(see ”Instructions for use”). This ensures that
the food cooks evenly.
To do this, pull the deep-frying pan
5
out of
the product by the handle
6
. Carefully shake
the food 2–3 times and slide the deep-frying
pan

back into the product.
9 GB/IE/NI/CY
C
AUTION! RISK OF INJURY!
If the deep-frying basket
9
acci-
dentally becomes loose it can
cause injuries due to burning.
Therefore when shaking, keep
the protective fl ap
8
pressed
down with your thumb in order
to avoid accidentally pressing
the release button
7
.
Tip: To reduce the weight, you can remove the
deep-frying basket
9
from the deep-frying pan
5
and just shake the deep-frying basket
9
.
To do this, pull the deep-frying pan
5
out of
the product, place it on a heat-resistant surface
and press the release button
7
. Then take
the deep-frying basket
9
out of the deep-frying
pan
5
. Carefully shake the food 2–3 times
and slide the deep-frying pan
5
, including the
correctly inserted deep-frying basket
9
, back
into the product.
Tip: If you set the timer to half of the prepara-
tion time, a signal tone sounds when you need
to shake the food. This however means that you
will have to reset the timer for the remaining
preparation time after shaking.
When the signal tone of the timer sounds, the set
preparation time has elapsed. Pull the deep-fry-
ing pan
5
out of the product and place it on
a heat-resistant surface.
Note: You can also switch off the product
manually. To do so, set the cooking time knob

. Place the deep-frying pan
5
onto a heat-resistant base and remove the deep-
frying basket
9
by fl ipping up the protective
ap
8
and pressing the release button
7
.
Note: Do not turn the deep-frying basket
9
upside down if it is still fi xed into the deep-frying
pan
5
as the oil collected at the bottom of the
deep-frying pan
5
may leak onto the food.
Note: The air fryer, the deep-frying pan
5
and the food are hot. Depending on the type
of food in the air fryer, steam may escape from
the deep-frying pan
5
.
Unplug the mains cable with the mains plug
13
from the mains socket.
Instructions for use
Note: The Rapid Air technology immediately heats
up the air in the product again. If the deep-frying

The following information will give you
a few tips so that you can achieve an op-
timal frying result. Please be aware that
the information contained in these tips is
only intended as a recommendation. In-
gredients may differ in their origin, size,
shape and brand. Optimal, authoritative
instructions for settings and operation
cannot be guaranteed.
· Smaller foods usually require shorter preparation
times than large foods.
· A larger quantity of food requires a slightly longer
p
reparation time, a smaller quantity of food a sli
ghtly
shorter preparation time.
· Use the temperature settings under 150 °C to e.g.
warm up bread rolls or meals.
· During the preparation time, food in the deep fry-
ing basket
9
should be shaken at least 2–3 times
at regular intervals to optimise the fi nal result and
to prevent unevenly fried food.
· When cooking potatoes, for a crispy result add
some oil (max. 1 tbsp.) after half of the cooking
time has elapsed. Continue frying after adding
the oil.
· Do not prepare extremely fatty foods in the air
fryer.
· Snacks that can be prepared in an oven can also
be prepared in the air fryer.
10 GB/IE/NI/CY
· The optimal quantity for the preparation of crispy
chips is 300–400 g.
· Use ready-made dough to prepare fi lled snacks
quickly and simply. Ready-made dough requires a
shorter preparation time than home-made dough.
· Place a suitable baking mould (e.g. muffi n tray,
ovenproof container) or a baking dish into the
deep-frying basket
9
of the air fryer if you want
to bake a cake or quiche, or cook brittle or fi lled
foods.
· You can also use the air fryer to warm up foods.
To do so, set the temperature to 150 °C for up to
10 minutes.
The following table helps you to select the basic
settings for the foods that you would like to pre-
pare. However, please note that these settings
are only guidelines. An optimal setting for your
food cannot be guaranteed, as the food may
diff er in its origin, size, shape and brand. When
preparing large foods (e.g. chicken thighs, fro-
zen snacks), shake, turn and stir the food in the
deep-frying basket
9
2–3 times to get an even
result.
You can also infer the recommended settings f
or
prawns, fi sh, chips and meat from the symbols
on the temperature
knob

Problem Possible cause Solution
White smoke is coming
out of the product.
You are preparing fatty food. When you prepare fatty food in the air
fryer, a large amount of oil runs into the
deep-frying pan
5
. The oil produces
white smoke and the deep-frying pan
5
may get hotter than usual. This does not
aff ect the product or the end result.
There are still fatty residues in
the deep-frying pan
5
from the
previous use.
White smoke is caused by fat which is
heated up in the deep-frying pan
5
.
Make sure that you clean the deep-fry-
ing pan
5
carefully after every use.
Fresh chips are cooked
unevenly.
You have not used a suitable
variety of potato.
Use fresh potatoes and ensure that these
remain fi rm during cooking.
You have not rinsed the potato
properly before frying.
Wash the potato thoroughly to remove
the starch from the outside.
Fresh chips are not crispy
enough.
The potatoes are too moist. The crispy result depends on the amount
of oil and water in the potatoes.
E
nsure that you dry the potatoes thoro
ughly
before adding the oil.
Cut the potato into smaller pieces for a
crispier result.
Add more oil for a crispier result.
