It has been treated with an oil based semi-transparent brown wood preservative. The gazebo requires at least a 10' x 10' foundation or a 10' 7" x 10' 7" area for the overhang. It is recommended to wash hands after handling the product, as the color will fade over time. For additional water protection, you will need roofing paper, composite shingles, ridge glass, roofing nails, a utility knife, a staple gun and staples, and a marker or pencil.
