CLEANING TIPS
Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the
xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Shut off the power
atthecircuitbreakerandcompletelyremovetheoldxturefromtheceiling,includingtheold
mountingstrap.
Fromthepartsbagremovethemountingstrapassembly.Mountingstrap(B)containsseveral
pairsofthreadedholes.Findthepairofholesthatmatchesthespacingoftheholesonthe
junctionboxandyourxture’sbackplate.Twoofmountingscrews(A)shouldbeattachedto
mountingstrap(B).Youmayneedtotightennuts(C)whichholdthesescrewsinplace.Pull
thehousewiresthroughthecenterofmountingstrap(B).Placemountingstrap(B)overthe
junctionboxsothatmountingscrews(A)arehorizontal,andinalignmentwiththeholelocations
oncanopy(F).Securemountingstrap(B)tothejunctionboxwithmountingscrews(D)anda
screwdriver.Tightenthescrewssecurely.
ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE
Rods(R)areonthexture’swires,butnotconnectedtothexture.Bymeasuring,determine
thecorrectnumberofrodsandchainneededforproperhangingheight.Tolengthenthexture,
addadditionalrodsorchain.Ifadditionalrodsareneeded,contacttheplaceofpurchaseto
order.Toshortenthexture,trimthewirestothedesiredlengthaddingatleast8to10extra
inchestothatlength.Slideanyexcessrodsoffthexture’swirestodiscard.Threadthewires
throughtherodsandpullthewiresuntiltautbeforethreadingtherodstogether.Threadbottom
rod (R) onto post (P). Attach top loop (J) to the top of top rod (O).
Ifnecessary,useapairofplierstoopenandremoveanyexcesschain.Attachoneofchain
connectors (K) to each end of chain (I). Use one of chain connectors (H) to attach chain (I) to top
loop(J)andclosethechainconnector.Feedthexture’swiresupthroughthechain(everythree
linksorso),pullingthewiresuntiltaut.Usethefreechainconnector(K)toattachchain(J)tothe
canopyloop.Pushthewiresthroughthecenterofcanopy(F).
CONNECTING THE WIRES
Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhilecompletingthewiring.Cutawayexcess
wires.Threadthexture’swiresthroughthecanopy.Attachthexture’swirestothepower
supplywiresfromthejunctionbox.Connectblacktosmooth/black/transparent(L)wire;white
toribbed/white/transparent(N)wire;groundtoground(greenorcopper).Twisttheendsofthe
wirepairstogether,andthentwistonawireconnector.Makesurealltwistsareinthesame
direction.Ifthereisnogroundwire(greenorcopper)fromthejunctionbox,locategroundscrew
(E)onmountingstrap(A)andwrapthexturegroundwirearoundthegreengroundscrew(E).
Useascrewdrivertosecuregroundscrew(E)ontothemountingstrap.Tuckallwiresneatlyinto
thejunctionbox.
FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
Pushcanopy(F)uptotheceilingsothatmountingscrews(A)protrudethroughtheholesin
canopy(F).Tightlythreaddecorativenuts(G)ontomountingscrews(A)tosecurecanopy(F)in
place.
Slideglassshade(S)oversocket(Q)andsecureinplacewithwasher(T)andsocketring
(U).Installlightbulb(notprovided)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donot
exceedthemaximumrecommendedwattage.
Yourinstallationisnowcomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.
