General
This power supply is designed for indoor use only.
The TP12DC-5A-ILS is a low profile 240Vac to 12VDC 5A switchmode power supply fitted with four screw
terminal outputs
This model features output current limiting and thermal shutdown protection with auto recovery.
NB: Always ensure the is adequate ventilation available to assit with cooling, operating the power supply on full
load in an enclosed area without ventilation can reduce the life expectancy of the product.
Prior to connecting equipment to the power supply ensure there is sucient current available to power the load,
always allow spare load current to ensure the power supply can support the load in the event of a load surge.
Good system design practice will allow 20-30% spare capacity to support load surge..
If the output voltage fails after connecting load, remove load and measure output. If voltage is 12VDC then
check load specications to ensure it is not excedding the maximum output of the power supply.
If multiple device are connected - remove all and use a multimeter to measure the current of each device that is to
be conencted to the power supply one at a time to establish total system load.
Connection
Connect 240V mains input via approved supplied IEC power lead.
Load equipment may be connected to four sets Green terminals located at other end of power supply.
The four green terminals are internally connected in parallel and are fitted with a cover to reduce the
possibility of foreign material creating a short circuit.
Output voltage is factory set to 12Vdc.
The output LED should be illuminated when operating normally.
There are no fuses or user serviceable components inside the housing - return to your supplier for service or
replacement.
Equipment must be installed & serviced
by suitably qualified service personnel
in a restricted access area. There are no
user serviceable parts inside.
