Data interface SINUMERIK-Xplorer ibaPDA-Interface-SINUMERIK-Xplorer
3.4 ConguraonandengineeringibaPDA
The engineering for ibaPDA is described in the following. If all system requirements are fullled,
ibaPDA displays the SINUMERIK-Xplorer interface in the interface tree of the I/O Manager.
3.4.1 Generalinterfacesengs
If the data interface is selected in the tree, you can see an overview of diagnoscs informaon
on the congured connecons between ibaPDA and the NCKs.
The interface has the following features and conguraon opons.
SetallvaluestozerowhenanNCKconneconislost
If this opon is enabled, all measured values of the NCK are reset to 0 as soon as the connecon
is lost. If this opon is disabled, ibaPDA keeps the last valid measured value in memory when
the connecon is lost.
StartacquisionevenifanNCKisnotaccessible
If this opon is enabled, the acquision starts even if the NCK is not accessible. A warning is
prompted in the validaon dialog, not an error. If the system was started without a connecon
to the NCK, ibaPDA periodically aempt to connect to the NCK.
Enabling this opon is recommended if mulple connecons are congured to one CPU. Be-
cause the SINUMERIK CPU is unable to launch mulple connecons at a me, this will provide
for a smooth start of acquision.
Allow inaccessible NCK variables
If this opon is enabled, the acquision starts even if NCK variables are not accessible or if they
are congured with an incorrect size. These inaccessible variables are prompted as warnings in
the validaon dialog box, not as errors.
AutomacallyrestartPDAserverwhenNCKvariablesizesautomacallychanged
If this opon is enabled, the ibaPDA server will automacally be restarted when the NCK vari-
able sizes changed automacally.
<Openlogle>
If connecons to controllers have been established, all connecon specic acons are recorded
in a text le. Using this buon, you can open and check this le. In the le system on the hard
disk, you nd the log les of the ibaPDA server (…\ProgramData\iba\ibaPDA\Log).
The le name of the current log le is InterfaceLog.txt; the name of the archived log
les is InterfaceLog_yyyy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss.txt.
