Safety Information
When using any electrical appliance, safety precautions should always
be observed. Read these instructions carefully, and retain for future
reference. For service, contact your nearest authorised service agent.
When used by, or near, young children or infirm persons, close
supervision is necessary. Young children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance, nor touch
anywhere near the outlet grille.
Do NOT touch the outlet grille, as it is VERY hot.
Do NOT use this appliance other than for its intended use.
Do NOT cover the grilles or place any object or material up against
the unit, as this may block entry or exhaust of airflow.
Do NOT probe any opening to remove fluff. To ensure trouble-free
performance it is recommended that on a regular basis the unit be
isolated from the power supply and a vacuum cleaner used to
remove dust and fluff from the inlet and outlet grilles.
Do NOT allow the supply cord to come into contact with heated
surfaces during operation.
Use this appliance with the voltage specified on the rating label.
Be very careful not to touch hot surfaces or moving parts.
If the supply cord becomes damaged, it must be replaced by a
SKOPE authorised service agent, or similarly qualified person, in
order to avoid a hazard.
Regulations require that electrical work be carried out by
authorised persons. For your own safety and that of others, ensure
this is done.

Installation Regulations
This appliance MUST be installed in accordance with relevant wiring
rules and regulations which cover installation of appliances and
accessories in damp situations such as bathrooms, showers, laundries
and other areas with fixed water containers (in Australia and New
Zealand - AS/NZS 3000:2000 Wiring Rules).
IMPORTANT: The heater must not be located immediately below a
socket outlet. A suitable disconnection device (acting in all active
supplies) is required to be incorporated in the fixed supply wiring.
The heater must be mounted a minimum distance of:
150mm from floor level
400mmm below a fixture or ceiling
300mm from adjacent walls

Installation Instructions
The wall bracket supplied with the heater must be used when attaching
heater to the wall. To attach heater to the wall:
1.Remove wall bracket from the heater, with the chains attached,
by removing the two securing screws from top of the rear panel.
2.Fix wall bracket to wall using the four fixing screw holes provided
(see Figure 1 for dimensions).
3.Locate heater onto both bottom lugs of the wall bracket.
4.Hinge heater upwards, and replace retaining screws with link
plates of chain attached, and move heater to upright position.
The link plates should slide under the wall bracket retaining slot.
5.Tighten both retaining screws (see Figure 2 below).

Operation
The controls are located behind a cover on the right hand end of the
heater. When the appliance is connected to the mains supply the neon
indicator on front of the heater should be illuminated. The operation of
the heater is controlled by use of the following controls:
Heat Switches
The heat output is controlled by two switches located under the
thermostat knob (see Figure 3 below). One switch depressed will give
half the heater output, while both switches depressed will give full heat
output.
Thermostat
The heater is fitted with a built-
in thermostat to control the
temperature level to which the
room is heated. The
thermostat adjustment knob is
located on the right hand end
and is numbered. Rotate the
knob clockwise to a higher
number to raise the room
temperature. Once set it is
unlikely to require to be
touched again.
Frost Watch
The ‘Frost Watch’ function is
intended to keep vacated areas
above freezing level, so water
pipes do not burst.
To set the heater to the Frost Watch mode, turn the thermostat control
knob fully anti-clockwise until the frost symbol aligns with mark.

24-Hour Timer
The heater must be connected to the mains supply in order for the timer
to operate continuously.
Set the correct time on the timer by rotating the dial clockwise until the
correct time is indicated on the 24-hour clock face.
Automatic Operation
Move the selector switch (immediately beneath the timer) to the auto
position designated .
The 24-hour timer can be set to give any combination of On/Off
intervals to a minimum of 15 minutes on. Select the 'On' time required
by pressing the black segment (on the circumference of the timer)
adjacent to the time required outwards. This will cause the heater to
switch 'On' at the selected time for 15 minutes operation. Each
additional segment pressed out will give a further 15 minutes of
operation. In this way, select the length of time required for the unit to
be 'On' and push out the number of 15-minute segments necessary to
select the time period required.
The timer can be set to give as many 'On' periods as required during
any 24-hour period.
This program will repeat itself every 24 hours until changed. This
program may be overridden at any time by switching to manual
operation.
Manual Operation
Move the selector switch, immediately beneath timer, to the manual
position designated . The heater will now run continuously,
controlled by the heat switches and thermostat setting.

Thermal Operated Cut-Out
The appliance is fitted with an Electronic Safety Control (ES). This is
a safety device, which switches the heater off if, for any reason, the
appliance overheats. The ES control can only be re-set after the
appliance has cooled down. In order to re-set the ES control, proceed
as follows:
1.Switch off appliance and leave for approximately 5 minutes.
2.Switch appliance back on and ES control will re-set.
3.Ensure that the appliance is functioning correctly. If the ES
control operates again, the appliance should be checked by a
competent electrician.
The heater carries a 'Do Not Cover' label to warn the user that if the
appliance is covered, there is a risk of overheating.
CAUTION:
In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal
cutout, this appliance must NOT be supplied through an external timer.
If your heater does not work:
Check that power is available to the heater. The neon indicator on
front of the heater should be illuminated.
Check that the thermal cut-out has not operated. If the cut-out has
operated follow the re-set instructions above.
Do not attempt to repair the heater.
Care
The heater is best wiped down with a damp cloth. Do not use any
abrasive cleaners. Always disconnect the heater from the mains power
before cleaning the heater. When cleaning the heater:
Do NOT use any abrasive cleaners
Do NOT touch the heater with wet hands, or in any way bring
water into contact with the heater.
