We continue to push the boundaries at Hyundai, and the

i30 hatchback and estate are vehicles that stand out by

virtue of their styling, build quality and performance.

Their design is both distinctive and dynamic, with an eye catching use of curves, space and sleek lines that give both cars great kerb appeal.

The i30 looks as good as it drives. Alloy wheels are standard on the i30 because we think they’re what you deserve, whilst the all round

independent suspension will give your passengers a stable and comfortable ride. The i30 also has a soft-touch hidden boot release and

a front windscreen wiper de-icer1 for those frosty mornings, plus an enhanced aero wiper blade design that reduces noise and aids

efficiency.

Take a closer look and you’ll spot body coloured, folding door mirrors3 with integrated side repeater lamps2, offering you added

convenience and helping guard against incidental damage.

The i30 engine range is fully Euro IV compliant, with petrol models benefiting from an efficient lightweight aluminium engine with

Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT). Diesel engines have a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT), which optimises fuelling

requirements for increased engine power and efficiency.

The i30 range may come with many features as standard, but there’s nothing at all standard about them, and you’ll discover this for

The second you bathe in the glow of the i30’s blue

illuminated instrument lighting, which has the added benefit of

reducing eyestrain, you know you’re sitting in a car that’s special.

Inside the i30 hatchback and estate, you’ll delight in the unexpected. The iPod™,

USB and auxiliary input interface provides you with the ability to listen to your

portable media library on the move, and with the Hyundai iPod™ connection cable

you can have full control of your iPod™ through the vehicle’s audio system. The i30

Hatchback has one of the longest wheelbases in its class, giving rear passengers

increased legroom and the freedom to move, whilst the i30 estate offers you

increased legroom over the hatchback. Two stage heated front seats1 complement

the leather upholstery1 and help to guard against the chill on colder days and, at the

touch of a button on the i30’s steering wheel, audio functions and cruise control2 can

be easily activated.

You’ll soon discover the i30 is full of pleasant surprises, like the air conditioned

glove box that helps drinks and snacks stay cool, and the automatic dimming rear

view mirror1 that reduces glare from behind. The stylish seats offer a wide range of

adjustments to provide a safe and relaxing driving position, with the driver gaining

the benefit of a full range of height and lumbar settings to take the strain out of any

long journey. In addition, the steering column can be adjusted for height and reach

to help achieve the optimum driving position for comfort and safety.

We’ve also maximised the amount of storage space in the i30, with handy storage

areas and an extensive boot capacity to cater for your luggage on family trips out or

weekends away. For those that need even more space, the i30 estate delivers an

impressive cargo area, whilst both models feature a 60/40 split configuration. The

Across its range, the i30 is equipped with an excellent array of features to protect passengers and the car, and as soon as you

take your seat you’ll feel secure. As a driver you’ll be reassured to know that the i30’s seatbelts work on a reminder system

providing a clear indicator for any seatbelt that hasn’t been engaged or is released accidentally during a journey. Active front head

restraints will help cushion your neck against the impact of a rear collision, and reduce the possibility of sustaining a whiplash

injury, whilst anti-submarine seats reduce the risk of driver and front passenger sliding under the seatbelt in the event of an

accident. In addition, driver, front passenger, front side and full length curtain airbags, plus front seatbelt height adjustment and

pre-tensioners, provide an exceptional level of protection for every minute of your journey.

Once you sit in an i30, you’ll feel totally secure and enclosed, with deadlocks, automatic speed sensitive door locking2 and a

window safety system1, which employs an anti-trap mechanism both front and rear. Other safety features include an automatic

dimming rear view mirror1, which cuts down the headlight glare from other vehicles behind you, and a screenwash warning light

to alert you when you are running low.

In addition, i30 is the only vehicle in its class to offer an Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and a Five Year Warranty as

standard across the range. This advanced electronic system is pro-active in controlling brake pressure to each wheel, and

manages the engine power output during acceleration and braking on low friction road surfaces. ESP works in combination with

the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Traction Control (TC), a combination of systems

that aid in delivering the maximum road holding and brake efficiency possible, putting you firmly in control and instilling confidence

no matter what the driving conditions.

portable media player connection minimise the risk of distraction to help keep you perfectly in tune on the road, whilst the Tyre

Pressure Monitoring System2 (TPMS) will flag up any significant reduction in tyre pressure, helping to prolong the life of your tyres

and deliver the optimal level of fuel efficiency and vehicle control. With its advanced Electric Power Steering system (EPS), the i30’s

steering allows greater directional control with more precise feel at higher speeds, whilst benefiting from reduced operational noise

and greater efficiency compared to a more conventional hydraulic system. We’ve even thought of those outside the car by integrating

cushioned bumpers which aid in the reduction of possible pedestrian injury, whilst the reinforced safety structure of the i30 features

crumple zones and a rigid passenger safety cell, all helping to keep occupants safe in the event of a collision by absorbing impact

energy. In the event of a light collision, special elements within the front bumper structure may help to reduce repair costs by further

absorbing impact and avoiding it being transferred through the car.
