Description of operation
The AF979R-DB keypad allows the following functions:
TOTAL
CONNECTION
Enter the 5 figure code, warning lights A-B-C light-up, press the RED button
PARTIAL
CONNECTION
Enter the 5 figure code, warning lights A-B-C light-up, press buttons A-B-C of the zones
required to be excluded, the respective LED goes off, press the RED button
DISCONNECTION
Enter the 5 figure code, warning lights A-B-C light-up, press the GREEN button
Erroneous entry can be cancelled by pressing ESC. After 8 erroneous connection and/or disconnection
attempts the keypad is blocked for 30 seconds and all LEDs blink.
• After each total connection operation, transmission to the control unit and the confirmation response are
displayed; the keypad emits 3 Beeps and all LEDs of the connected zone remain ON for 30 seconds.
• After each partial connection operation, transmission to the control unit and the confirmation response
are displayed; the keypad emits a long Beep and all LEDs of the connected zone remain ON for 30
seconds.
• After each disconnection operation, transmission to the control unit and the confirmation response are
displayed: the keypad emits a Beep and all zone LEDs remain OFF.

Numeric buttons for entering codes.
A-B-C
Control unit zones buttons for partial connection.
F1
Radio control. Programmed on R1R receivers, it transmits to the latter a
command.
F2
Radio control. Suitably programmed on the control unit, it allows actuating alarms,
actuations and/or calls. Programmed on R1R radio receivers, they transmit
monostable (timed) command.

Panic alarm. It sends a panic alarm to the control unit
ESC
Escape button. It deletes erroneous code entry

Queries control unit. If pressed it queries the control unit; Upon elapse of the transmission
and response awaiting period, displayed by special red LEDs, the LED
zones light up. If none of the LEDs light up, the system is disconnected.

SIGNALS DESCRIPTION

They Indicate the three intrusion alarm zones
and light up when the respective zone is
connected
It indicates that the keypad is transmitting radio signals
It indicates, upon disconnection, the presence of a new event. Check t

It indicates, upon connection, the presence of possible protected doors/windows left open
It indicates, upon connection or disconnection, that the keypad batteries are low (to
replaced within 7 days)
It indicates awaiting the confirmation command from the control unit
