BEFORE YOU START - CHARGING
Please use reference above to charge your device via computer or wall outlet. Hint. Wall outlet
will charge faster.

Press and release the SET button. e numbers on the screen will begin to ash. Start by press-
ing the HR button. Each press will change the number. Keep pressing until you get to your
current hour. NOTE: e time is in military time (24 hour clock).
Once you get your desired number, press SET again to move to minutes. Correct that. en SET
again. is time it will take you to ALARM settings. If you dont need to use the alarm then just
continue to press set until the numbers stop ashing. You are done setting time.

Aer adjusting clock, we now recommend that you also adjust the TIME & DATE STAMP,
which appears in the video itself. is allows you to know when a video feed was taken.

From the TECH SUPPORT tab of your Product Page...
Right-click on the TIME.TXT le and choose SAVE LINK AS or SAVE TARGET AS.
You are going to SAVE the TIME.TXT le to your watch. See photo for proper location.
Do not change the le name, it must be TIME.TXT.

Now, use Windows Explorer (the le explorer, not the internet browser), or the Mac
Finder to locate your watch. When you plugged it in, your computer automatically
connected to it. In this example in Windows, the DVR appears as REMOVABLE DISK E:

Save the TIME.TXT to the location shown. Depending on the unit you bought, some
might show a DCIM folder, others just VIDEO, or a combination of VIDEO, AUDIO,
PHOTO or there might be no folder. Just save the time.txt le in that section.

DOUBLE-CLICK (le button) on the TIME.TXT le on your watch.
A text editor window will appear. Please adjust the year, month, day, hours, minutes and seconds
to your current date and time. Very important that you maintain the format. If you change it by
accident, please return it to original format, or just re-save time le if you dont remember!
Also note the use of a 24 hour clock format.
In above example we have:
November 01, 2013 at 11:59 am and 59 seconds.

When complete, SAVE this le and exit your text editor and unplug your watch.
e next time you turn on your HOOK DVR, the time le will be ‘absorbed’ and time adjusted.
NOTE: At this point, we highly recommend you do a test video to make sure time
stamp was successful.

RECORDING VIDEO
Begin by (rmly) pressing POWER button on
the remote. Please make sure you point it to
the IR sensor.
Blue light will turn on. You are now in
STANDBY MODE
Press VIDEO RECORD button once. Blue
light will ash 3 times then go o. You are
now recording video.
To stop video recording press same button
again (rmly). Light will return to steady blue.
Repeat as necessary.
MOTION DETECTION VIDEO: You can
record video only when there is motion. To
do that, use MOTION DETECTION button

RETRIEVING YOUR FILES
is unit allows you to retrieve your les without having to remove your SD card, although
removing the SD card and plugging direct to computer is the easiest way!
METHOD ONE: (Removing SD card)
1. Make sure nothing is being recorded. Stop all recordings and turn unit o
2. Remove SD card (press in and release. Card will spring out. pull it out)
3. Insert Micro SD card into adapter (or card reader) and plug into your computer
4. Open appropriate folder and nd le and playback
METHOD TWO: (Playback on DVR)
1. Turn to back of unit and press and release the POWER button e screen will turn on.
2. Press and hold PLAY button for about 2 seconds. Screen will switch to the les on SD card.
3. Use the PREVIOUS or NEXT buttons to move between les (AUDIO, VIDEO and/or PHO-
TO, dpending and which and how many les you have recorded).
4. Once you are on the le you want, press PLAY to play that les.

RETRIEVING YOUR FILES
To view your videos and photos, and to listen to your audio recordings, you will need to
copy them to your PC rst. You may listen to them directly from your DVR, however it may
be choppy.
Make sure you have turned o the DVR before plugging into computer, to avoid potentially
losing les. Now connect your USB to HOOK DVR and other end to computer USB port.
Aer a few moments, you can access the les on your HOOK DVR.
You may go into the folders noted above to view and copy your les.
You may also delete les from these folders.
NOTE: Mac users must empty their trash before disconnecting your watch aer deleting
les.
