United IK-8545 is an efficient and environmentally-friendly solution for eliminating flying insects. Featuring a special UVA lamp with low consumption and long life, this device attracts insects which are then swiftly eliminated by the high voltage grid positioned in front of the lamp. The effective range of the device can reach up to 40 square meters under ideal conditions, making it perfect for indoor use in residences, restaurants, hotels, and offices.

Please read carefully these instructions before use. The device is designed to offer the best possible efficiency at

the lowest energy consumption and since it does not use chemicals or poisons, it is the best solution in

eliminating those disturbing and some time dangerous flying insects.

How it works:

1． The device does not use chemicals or poisons which can be dangerous to humans and pets!

2． The special UVA lamp (ultraviolet) with low consumption and long life is used to attract insects which are

then instantly killed by the high voltage grid positioned in front of the lamp.

3． The device is designed to provide high efficiency with low energy consumption.

Safety Instruction

 For household and indoor use only，not suitable for use in barns, stables and similar locations.

 The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

 Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. The appliance is to be

kept out of reach of children.

 Make sure that the appliance is not used in locations where flammable vapour or explosive dust is likely to

exist.

 Do not use the power cord to pull the plug off or to carry the device.

 Do not make the power cord exposed to heat, oil and sharp edges. Damaged connection lines can cause

fires, short-circuiting and electric shocks.

 Never remove any fixed parts of the appliance to make any internal adjustment to avoid electric shock. If

the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified

persons in order to avoid a hazard.

 Do not plug the device into the power source until the device is completely assembled after cleaning.

 The lamps in the appliance cannot be replaced from the user. Ask the manufactory or its service agent for

help to change them with the approved lamps.

Indoor Use Only

Dangerous Voltage

Usage and effective range：

1． The device can be used indoors only in residences, restaurants, hotels, offices etc.

2． The effective range of the device, under ideal conditions can reach to 40 square meters.

3． The most effective way to use it is to plug it in a wall outlet of a dark room, with no other light source, for

about 20-30 minutes before you use that room. This way all flying insects will be killed. The effectiveness of

the device is reduced if there is another light source in the room. If you like to hang it then you should do it

near door or window, around 0.80 to 1.20 meters from the ground and at least 0.30 m away from the wall.

Maintenance – Cleaning - Safety：

1． Before you plug in the device, make sure that the protective plastic grid is not broken or with openings big

enough to allow children touching the high voltage grid.

2． Keep children and mentally impaired away from the device. Never touch the high voltage grid even after

unplugging.

3． If the lamp flickers then it is possible that the voltage from wall outlet is not enough for the device to work!

4． In order to prolong the lamp life, do not switch on and off the device very often.

5． Do not use this device in places which explosives, flammable gasses or fumes may exist! Danger of explosion

or fire!

6． In order to clean the device, please first unplug from wall outlet and discharge the high voltage grid by

inserting a correctly insulated screw driver making sure not to touch the metal part of it. Then use the

supplied small brush to clean the high voltage grid and a soft dump cloth to wipe the plastic exterior. Never

immerse the unit into water or other liquids. You can remove the bottom tray by twisting it and then empty

from insect remains.

household waste.

Please dispose of this equipment at your local community waste collection/recycling centre. In the European Union there are

separate collection systems for used electrical and electronic products.
