Lynx LDC18 Installation guide

  • I have reviewed the product details document for the Lynx LDC18 Drop-In Cooler. This document describes the cooler's features, including its 1.7 cubic feet of insulated storage, hydraulic lid bracket, and drain tube. The document also provides instructions for installing the drain and removing the lid. I'm ready to answer your questions about this cooler.
  • What size drain hose can be used?
How do I remove the cooler lid?
    Is the cooler insulated?
LDC18
DROP-IN COOLER
The Lynx 18 inch Drop In Cooler is fully insulated and fabricated from
welded stainless steel with polished highlights
The cooler features:
1.7 cubic feet of insulated storage
13 inch depth accommodates most wine bottles
Heavy duty insulated gasket and lid to keep items cold
Hydraulic lid bracket that holds lid open and provides soft close action
Removable hinge pins and lid bracket to allow the cooler to be used without
the lid
Drain Tube for attaching a drain hose (1/2" ID hose not provided)
Installing the drain:
The drain tube assembly comes in a bubble wrapped package in the product
carton. To install this drain you must remove the nut from the drain tube.
From the inside of the cooler, push the drain tube through the insulating
material blocking the drain hole. Push the drain tube all the way in until it
stops at the black rubber washer. From the bottom of the cooler replace
the nut onto the drain tube and tighten it all the way up to the bottom of the
cooler. Tighten the nut to compress the black rubber washer to ensure a
leak free seal. The drain tube can accommodate any standard size garden
hose.
Removing the lid:
The lid is provided with a hydraulic type bracket which provides a slow
close feature and can also hold the lid in the open position. This is a handy
feature when stocking the cooler and allows for easy access to contents. To
remove the lid for unrestricted access from all sides, use a Philips head
screwdriver and remove the Philips head screw holding the bracket
armature to the lid. Now slide the open lid to the right to disengage the
hinge pins to remove the lid. Store the lid in a safe place to avoid damage.
The armature can be folded and tucked out of the way inside the cooler.
