1. SSD RECOVERY ON THE EC-200 CONTROLLER
1.1 General
Phenom enon
In rare cases the EC-200 controller can fail to boot properly and not show the Event Master
Toolset GUI. This can occur due to the solid-state drive (SSD) having been corrupted from
hard power cycling using the power switch on the back of the unit.
Solution
Re-image the SSD. Upgrade the rmware and the operating system, as described in Info-T
1322: Upgrading the Firmware and Operating System on the EC-200 Controller. Following
the rmware and OS upgrade, use the power-off soft button (
) to shut down the EC-200
controller.

1.2 SSD re-image
SSD recovery
Should the EC-200 controller fail to boot properly and not show the Event Master Toolset
GUI, perform an SSD recovery.
1. Go to the EC-200 Product Support webpage on the Barco website.

2. Go to EC-200 support and select Dr ivers & rmware.
3. Select the EC-200 Recovery SSD Image - English [v00.01.00.00] ZIP le.
4. Download (to any computer or to a USB thumb drive) and unzip the ZIP le.
The ZIP le contains an ISO le, a PDF, and a “whats new” TXT le. The PDF contains
instructions for creating a bootable USB thumb drive and for re-imaging the SSD of the
EC-200 controller.
Should an SSD recovery not c orrect an EC-200 controller failure, the SSD may need to
be replaced. See Section 7.8 "HD SanDisk" of the Event Master devices Service Guide
