If rear housing on the replacement control is in the desired posion,
proceed to controL MoUntinG secon.
To rotate housing posion, proceed as follows:
1. Gas cock must be turned to the “OFF’” posion.
2. Remove four hex head bolts on rear of control and comptetely
separate housings. Do not turn valve or valve stem while control
is disassembled.
3. Using a small screwdriver, push in the calibraon screw in the
center of the gas cock plug. Turn this screw 1/4 turn in either
direcon. This will allow the sloed end of the gas cock to engage
the valve stem cross pins when the control is ressembled.
NOTE: If the above procedure is followed carefully, calibraon will not
be aected when the rear housing is reassembled.
4. Reassemble rear housing with outlet down. Be certain cross pin on
end of valve stem engages slot in inner end of gas cock.
Do not Force toGetHer. When properly aligned, rear housing
will move into posion easily.
5. Replace and ghten the four hex head bolts.

NOTE: DIASTAT IS LIQUID FILLED AND SHARP BENDS ARE TO BE
AVOIDED. Recommended method to uncoil diastat is to insert a round
screwdriver sha through the center of the diastat coil and push away
from the control body.

lnsert “D” stem dial sleeve into front of control and snap in place.
When addional stem length is required, use stem length adaptor as
follows:
1. Place adaptor on “D” stem dial sleeve and place dial on adaptor.
2. To determine correct adaptor length, measure distance from back
edge of dial to panel front or bezel. Cut this amount o small end
of adaptor.
3. If ghter dial t is desired, spread end of “D” stem sleeve and stem
length adaptor slightly.
BeZeL instALLAtion
Bezel and sleeve are installed by closing center sleeve over dial guide
on the front of the control.
If standard sleeve is too short, remove from bezel. Use pliers to apply
light pressure and squeeze the adaptor slightly to disengage locking
tabs. Install correct length sleeve in bezel.
Bezel index posion can be changed to match manifold mounng
posion of control. Snap sleeve out of bezel as described above.
sWitcH terMinAL connections
“Oven on” terminals are located on the inner side of the switch next to
the control body. “Oven ready” terminals are located on the outer side
of the switch. Terminal connecons required for replacing each specic

The minimum ame (by-pass) on the oven burner must be properly
adjusted before checking oven temperature or recalibrang. To check
oven temperature, use a test Instrument or a reliable mercury ther-
mometer. Temperature should be checked in the center of the oven.
Calibraon Check Procedure:
1. Set dial at 400°F mark and light oven burner.
2. Aer burner has been on about 15 minutes, check oven
temperature. If recalibraon is required, proceed as directed.
3. Remove dial assembly and “D” type stem.
4. With a screwdriver, push calibraon stem inward and while holding
stem rmly in, using the screwdriver bit as a reference point, turn
stem clockwise to obtain a lower temperature or counterclockwise
for a higher temperature. Each mark on retainer represents 25
degrees. Replace dial assembly and “D” type stem with dial.
5. To check your calibraon seng, open door and allow oven to cool.
Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3. Recalibrate, if necessary, following steps 4
and 5.
