INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new
apparatus, please read this user
guide carefully before using it for the
rst time. We also recommend that
you keep the instructions for future
reference, so that you can remind
yourself of the functions of your
apparatus.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the apparatus
Incorrect use of this apparatus
may cause personal injury and
damage.
Use for its intended purpose
only. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any injury or
damage resulting from incorrect
use or handling (see also
Guarantee Terms).
For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz
only.
Always turn the apparatus off
using the on/off button, and unplug
it, when it is not in use.
This symbol means that the
appliance cannot be used in the
bath tub or near water, wash
basins, bowls or the like. Never try
to retrieve the apparatus if it falls
into water. First remove the plug
from the socket.
We recommend use of this
apparatus only if the installation
is protected by an HFI-/HPFI
relay. Please contact a qualied
electrician if in doubt.
Please note that the apparatus will
remain hot for a while after you
switch it off. Always allow it to cool
completely before you put it away.
Always keep the apparatus at
a safe distance from ammable
objects such as curtains,
tablecloths or the like.
Never leave unattended when in
use, and keep an eye on children.
Caution! The plates can get very
hot. They must not come into
contact with the skin, as this can
cause burns.
For domestic use only. Not for
outdoor or commercial use.
Do not cover.
Do not expose to direct sunlight.
Do not place or store near other
heat sources or in a damp
environment.
Cord, plug and mains socket
Keep cord away from hot objects
and open ame.
Check regularly that neither the
cord nor plug is damaged and do
not use if there is any damage, or
if it has been dropped on the oor,
dropped in water or damaged in
any other way.
If the apparatus or plug is
damaged, it must be inspected
and if necessary, repaired by
an authorised repair engineer,
otherwise there is a risk of electric
shock. Never try to repair the
apparatus yourself.
Remove the plug from the socket
before cleaning.
Avoid pulling the cord when
removing the plug from the socket.
Instead, hold the plug.
Do not wind the cord around the
apparatus.

USING THE APPARATUS
This apparatus has several
temperature settings and is specially
designed for use with damp hair. The
channels in the ceramic plates drain
water from the hair, and allows it to
evaporate through the steam apertures
(8). Naturally, it is also suitable for use
on dry hair.
1. Push lock button (2) upwards to
open the ceramic plates (7).
2. Place the apparatus on a at, heat-
resistant surface, and plug it in.
3. Switch on by pushing the on/off
switch (4) towards the white
symbol (to left).
o The ve temperature indicator
lights (6) will ash once.
4. Press the temperature setting
button (5) repeatedly according
to the temperature you want (see
table below).
o The corresponding temperature
indicator light(s) will ash.
The lights will stop blinking
as the apparatus reaches each
temperature level.
5. Switch off by pushing the on/off
button downwards to the black
symbol (on right).

Styling tips
Brush hair thoroughly before setting.
Divide your hair up into small sections,
and deal with them separately piece
by piece as described below until the
desired result is achieved. Hair should
be clean before using the appliance.
Damp hair gives the best result. Do
not use on very wet hair.
Flat, smooth hair:
o Start with a lock of hair about 5
cm wide and close the at tong’s
ceramic plates around the hair
near the scalp.
o Slowly slide the apparatus towards
the hair ends in a uent movement.
Keep the hair tight to avoid kinks.
For more lift in the hair, smooth
only the outer part of the hair lock.
Hair with a ick:
o Start with a lock of hair about 5
cm wide and close the at tong’s
ceramic plates around the hair
near the scalp.
o Slide the apparatus slowly towards
the hair ends.
o Finish by curling the last piece of
hair a little out at the ends.
Hair with a curl:
o Start with a lock of hair about 5
cm wide and close the at tong’s
ceramic plates around the hair
near the scalp.
o Slide the apparatus slowly towards
the hair ends.
o Finish by curling the last piece of
hair under at the ends.
CLEANING
Remove the plug from the socket
before cleaning.
Allow to cool down before
cleaning.
Do not use strong or abrasive
cleaning agents, solvents or
similar to clean the apparatus, as
these may scratch or damage the
external surfaces and the ceramic
plates.
Wipe it with a well-wrung soft
cloth.
Never submerge the apparatus
in water, and no water must be
allowed to get into it.
