1 PrepareTheinstallationSite
Yourrefrigeratorisdesignedtobe partofa built-inkitchencabinetsystem.Be
sureto coordinatesite preparationandinstallationwithyourkitchencontractor.
includetheseminimumguidelinesin yoursite preparation:
Choosea placeneara groundedelectricaloutlet.
Donotuse anextensioncordor anadapterplug.
Avoiddirectsunlightandcloseproximityto a range,dishwasheror other
heatsource.
Floorshouldbeleveland ableto supportafully loadedrefrigerator.
Therefrigerator'sice&Water Dispenserrequireswater supplyaccess.
Planforeasyaccessto countertops whenremovingfood.
Forcompleteaccessto drawersandfreezerbaskets,doorsmustbeable
tofully open.
Allowthe followingclearancesfor easeof installation,properaircirculation,and
plumbingandelectricalconnections:

Removetheentrancedoorif oneexists.
Removetherefrigeratordoors(seehowin yourUse& CareGuide).
Whenusinga handtruck:
Loadrefrigeratorfromsideofcabinetonly.
Donotrun retainingstrapsover handles.
Donotover-tightenretainingstraps.
Neveruse refrigeratorhandlesto movethe refrigerator.
Removetapefrom doorsonlyafterunitis in place.
3 ConnectWaterSupply
Whatyou will need:
Accessto acoldwaterline
with pressureof
30-100psi.

Coppertubingwith ¼-inch
(6.4ram)OD. Lengthfor
this tubingisthedistance
fromthe rearofthe refrigeratorto yourhousehold
water supplylineplus 7feet(2.1 meters).
A shut-offvalvefor theconnectionbetweenyourhousehold
water lineandthe refrigeratorsupplyline.
Donot use aself-piercingshut-offvalve.
A compressionnut andferrule(sleeve)for thewater supply
connectionat therearof yourrefrigerator.
Toconnectthe water supplyto the rearof yourrefrigerator:
1 Ensurethattherefrigeratoris notpluggedin.
2 Flushthe supplylineuntilwateris clearby placingtheendof the
coppertube in a sinkor bucketandopeningtheshut-offvalve.
3 Removetheplasticcapfromthe watervalveinletattherear d
yourrefrigerator.Discardthe cap.
4 Slidethe brasscompressionnut, thentheferrule(sleeve)onto
coppertube.
5 Pushthecoppertubeintowatervalveinletas far asit willgo
(1/4inch).
6 Slidethe ferrule(sleeve)intovalve andfinger-tightenthe
compressionnutontovalve.Tightenanotherhalfturn with a
wrench. Donot over-tighten.
7 Securethecoppertube toyourrefrigerator'srearpanelwith a
steelclamp andscrew (seeillustration).
8 Coilthe excesscoppertubing(about2V_turns)behindyour
refrigeratoras shown.Arrangecoiledtubingtoavoid vibrationor
wear againstothersurfaces.

thatleak.
4 PlaceIn PermanentPosition

Becarefulnottomovethe refrigeratorbeyonditswatersupply(copper
tubing) connections.
Pluginthe powercord,andpushtherefrigeratorstraightbackinto
place.
5 LevelRefrigerator&Adjust Doors(ifnecessary)
Guidelinesforfinal positioningofyourrefrigerator:
Allfourcomers oftbe cabinetmust restfirmlyontbefloor.
Thecabinetshouldbelevelatthetent andrear.
ThesidesshouldtiltY_-inch(6ram)frornfronttoback(to ............
ensurethatdoorscloseandsealproperly).
Doorsshouldalignwitheachotherandbelevel.
All oftheseconditions canbemetby raisingorloweringtheadjustablefrontrollers.
To level the cabinet using the front rollers:
1 Openboth doors and remove thetoe grille by gently pulling forward
(seeillustration f).
2 Close the doors and use a flat-bladescrewdriver or 3/8 inchsocket
wrench to raise or lower the front rollers. (See illustration 2.)
3 Ensureboth doors are bind-free with their seals touchingthe cabinet
on all four sides.
To level the doors using the lower hinge:
1 Ifthe refrigerator door is lowerthan the freezer door, raise the
refrigerator door byturning the adjustment screw clockwise. (See
illustration 3.)
2 Ifthe freezer door is lower than the refrigerator door, raise the
freezer door by turning the adjustment screw clockwise. (See
illustration 3.)
3 Ensuredoorstopflangeistouchinghingeflange.Ifnot,readjustasnecessary.
