OR STUDIO FACILITIES USE.

TROJAN recommends that all tness equipment be used in a supervised area. It is recommended that the equipment be
located in an access controlled area. Control is the responsibility of the owner. Keep children away from all equipment.
Parents or others supervising adults must provide close supervision of children if the equipment is used in the presence
of children.
INSTALLATION
TROJAN recommends that all equipment:
• Besecuredtoorsetuponasolid,levelsurfacetostabiliseandeliminaterockingortippingoverduringtraining.
• Besetupinsideyourhomeawayfrommoistureanddust(theequipmentisnotdesignedforoutdooruse).
• Besetupwithsufcientventilationtoensureproperoperation.
• Besetupwithsufcientspacearoundtheequipmentsothatallexercisescanbecompletedsafely.Itisrecommended
thatthereshouldbeatleast1mofspacearoundtheequipmentwhereaccessisrequiredtoexercise.
• Beinstalledbyourteamofinstallers.

STEP 2: HANDLEBAR POST ASSEMBLY
• ConnecttheMiddleComputerWire(25)intheHandlebarPost
(13) to the Lower Computer Wire (24) in the Main Frame (1).
• InserttheHandlebarPost(13)intotheMainFrame(1).Secure
using four Allen Screws (27) and four Curved Washers (26).
STEP 3: HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY

• Unpackthecartonandusingthepartslistcheckthatallpartsareaccountedfor.
• Donotdisposeofthepackagingmaterialuntilassemblyiscompleted.
• AnAllenKeyisprovidedforuseinassembly.
4. ASSEMBLY STEPS
STEP 1: STABILISER ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Ensure that cables are not damaged
during assembly or when tightening screws.

• AttachtheHandlebar(14)totheFrontPost(13),securingwithone
Clamp (36), one Allen Bolt (16), one Cover for Clamp (37) and the
T Type Knob (38).
• InserttheHandPulseWire(28)throughtheGrommet(29)and
insert it through the hole in the Handlebar Post (13). Pull the Hand
Pulse Wire (28) through the hole at the top of the Handlebar Post
(13) and insert the Grommet (29) into the upright. Connect the
Hand Pulse Wire (28) to the Upper Hand Pulse Wire (34). Connect
the Middle Computer Wire (25) to the Upper Computer Wire (35).
• AttachtheComputer(15)ontothebracketoftheFrontPost(13),
securing it using four Screws (20) which are pre-assembled on the
backofComputer(15).

STEP 4: SEAT ASSEMBLY
• AttachtheSeat(12)totheSeatPost(11),securingitusingthree
Flat Washers (30), three Spring Washers (31) and three Nylon
Locknuts(32)whicharepre-assembledontheseat.
• TaketheQuickReleaseKnob(33)offMainFrame(1)theninsert
the Seat Post Assembly (11) into the Main Frame (1) and secure
intothedesiredpositionusingtheQuickReleaseKnob(33).
STEP 5: PEDAL ASSEMBLY
• AttachtheRightandLeftPedalStrapstotheLeftandRightPedals
(9/10).
Note: The end with four adjustable holes must be set outwards.
• AttachtheLeftandRightPedals(9/10)totheCrankArms(22).
Note:ThePedalsandCrankArmsaremarkedwithR&L.TheRight
Pedal(R)shouldbethreadedinaclockwisedirectionandtheLeft
Pedal(L)shouldbethreadedinacounter-clockwisedirection.
STEP 6: ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
• PlugtheAdapterintotheAdapterJack.

5. COMPUTER FUNCTIONS
COMPUTER INSTRUCTIONS
Key Functions
START/STOP: 1.StartsandPausesworkouts.
2. Starts the body fat measurement and quits the body fat program.
3.Holdthebuttonfor3secondswillresetallfunctionvaluetozero.Operates
only when in stop mode.
DOWN: Decreasesvalueofselectedworkoutparameter:
TIME,DISTANCE,RPM,SPEED,ODO,DISTANCE.Duringtheworkout,itwill
also decrease the resistance load.
UP: Increasesvalueofselectedworkoutparameter.Duringtheworkout,itwill
increase the resistance load.
ENTER: Toinputdesiredvalueorworkoutmode.
RECOVERY: Press to enter into the Recovery function when the computer is displaying heart rate values. Hold for 1
minute and Recovery will determine the users tness level. There are 6 Levels (1-6): F1 is the best and F6 is
the worst.
MODE: PresstoswitchdisplayfromRPMtoSPEED,ODOtoDISTduringworkout.

• 75kgwillashandWEIGHTcanbeadjustedusingtheUPorDOWNkey.PressENTERtosavevalueandmoveto
thenextdata.
• 30yearswillashandAGEcanbeadjustedusingtheUPorDOWNkey.PressENTERtosavevalue.
• PlacebothhandsonthehandpulsegripsandpressSTART/STOPtostartmeasurement.After15secondsthe
display will show your Body Fat %, BMR, BMI and BODY TYPE.
BMR (Basal Metabolism Ratio): Your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) shows the number of calories your body needs to
operate. This doesn’t account for any activity, it’s simply the energy needed to sustain a
heartbeat, breathing and normal body temperature. It measures the body at rest, not sleep,
at room temperature.
BMI(BodyMassIndex): BMI is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men
and women.
Press START/STOP KEY to return the main Display.
BODY TYPES:
There are 9 body types divided according to the FAT % calculated.
• Type1isfrom5%to9%.
• Type2isfrom10%to14%.
• Type3isfrom15%to19%.

SelectTARGETH.R.usingtheUPorDOWNkeythenpressingENTERKEY.The1stparameter“Time”willashandthe
valuecanbeadjustedusingtheUPorDOWNkey.PressENTERtosavevalueandmoveontothenextparametertobe
adjusted.
Note: •Iftheusersetsupatargettimeforaworkout,thenthenextparameterofDistancecannotbeadjusted.
If the measured Pulse is above or below the set TARGET H.R (± 5), the computer will adjust the resistance load
automatically.Thecomputerwillcheck,approximatelyevery20seconds,andadjusttheresistanceloadby1upor
down, as required. Each resistance load represents 2 levels of loading.
Whenoneoftheworkoutparameterscountsdowntobezero,thecomputerwillsoundawarningandstop
theworkoutautomatically.PresstheSTARTkeytocontinuetheworkouttoreachanyunnishedworkout
parameters.
5. HEART RATE CONTROL PROGRAM
There are 2 selections for target pulse:
• P16-60%TARGETH.R=60%of(220-AGE)
• P17-85%TARGETH.R=85%of(220-AGE)
SelectoneoftheHEARTRATECONTROLPROGRAMSusingtheUPorDOWNkeythenpressENTER.The1st
parameter“Time”willashandthevaluecanbeadjustedusingtheUPorDOWNkey.PressENTERtosavevalue
andmoveontothenextparametertobeadjusted.
Note: •Iftheusersetsupatargettimeforaworkout,thenthenextparameterofDistancecannotbeadjusted.Continue
throughalldesiredparameters,pressingSTART/STOPtostartworkout.
•IfthemeasuredPulseisaboveorbelowthesetTARGETH.R(±5),thecomputerwilladjusttheresistanceload

key.PressENTERtosavevalueandmoveontothenextparametertobeadjusted.
Note•Iftheusersetsupatargettimeforaworkout,thenthenextparameterofDistancecannotbeadjusted.Continue
throughalldesiredparameters,pressingSTART/STOPtostartworkout.Afteruserhasnishedsettingupthe
desiredparameter,LEVEL1willash.UsetheUPorDOWNkeytoadjustthenpressENTERuntilnished(10

7. CONDITIONING GUIDELINES
Howyoubeginyourexerciseprogramdependsonyourphysicalcondition.Ifyouhavebeeninactiveorareseverely
overweight,youmuststartslowlyandincreaseyourtimeontheequipment;afewminutesperworkout.Initially,youmay
beabletoexerciseonlyforafewminutesinyourtargetzone,however,youraerobictnesswillimproveoverthenextsix
toeightweeks.Don’tbediscouragedifittakeslonger.It’simportanttoworkatyourownpace.Ultimately,you’llbeable
toexercisecontinuouslyfor30minutes.Thebetteryouraerobictness,theharderyouwillhavetoworktostayinyour
targetzone.Pleaseremembertheseessentials:
•Haveyourdoctorreviewyourtraininganddietprogramstoadviseyouofaworkoutroutineyoushouldadopt.
•Beginyourtrainingprogramslowlywithrealisticgoalsthathavebeensetbyyouandyourdoctor.
•Monitoryourpulsefrequently.Establishyourtargetheartratebasedonyourageandcondition.
EXERCISE INTENSITY
Tomaximizethebenetsofexercising,itisimportanttoexercisewiththe
proper intensity. The proper intensity level can be found by using your heart
rateasaguide.Foreffectiveaerobicexercise,yourheartrateshouldbe
maintainedatalevelbetween65%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate
asyouexercise.Thisisknownasyourtargetzone.Youcanndyourtarget
zoneinthetablebelow.
Duringtherstfewmonthsofyourexerciseprogram,keepyourheartratenearthelowendofyourtargetzoneasyou
exercise.Afterafewmonths,yourheartratecanbeincreasedgraduallyuntilitisnearthemiddleofyourtargetzoneas
youexercise.
Tomeasureyourheartrate,stopexercisingbutcontinuemovingyourlegsorwalkingaroundandplacetwongerson
yourwrist.Takeasix-secondheartbeatcountandmultiplytheresultsby10tondyourheartrate.Forexample,ifyour
six-secondheartbeatcountis14,yourheartrateis140beatsperminute.(Asix-secondscountisusedbecauseyour
heartratewilldroprapidlywhenyoustopexercising.)
Adjusttheintensityofyourexerciseuntilyour
heart rate is at the proper level.

8. WARM-UP AND COOL-DOWN
WORKOUT GUIDELINES
Eachworkoutshouldincludethefollowingthreeparts:
Awarm-up,consistingof5to10minutesofstretchingandlightexercise.Aproperwarm-upincreasesyourbody
temperature,heartrate,andcirculationinpreparationforexercise.

SUGGESTED STRETCHES

1. Toe Touch Stretch
Standwithyourkneesbentslightlyandslowlybendforwardfromyourhips.Allow
yourbackandshoulderstorelaxasyoureachdowntowardyourtoesasfaras
possible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3times.Stretches:Hamstrings,back
ofkneesandback.
2. Hamstring Stretch
Sitwithonelegextended.Bringthesoleoftheoppositefoottowardyouand
restitagainsttheinnerthighofyourextendedleg.Reachtowardyourtoesasfar
aspossible.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:
Hamstrings,lowerbackandgroin.
3. Calf/Achilles Stretch
With one leg in front of the other, reach forward and place your hands against a wall.
Keepyourbacklegstraightandyourbackfootatontheoor.Bendyourfrontleg,
leanforwardandmoveyourhipstowardthewall.Holdfor15counts,thenrelax.
Repeat 3 times for each leg. To cause further stretching of the achilles tendons, bend
yourbacklegaswell.Stretches:Calves,achillestendonsandankles.
4. Quadriceps Stretch
Withonehandagainstawallforbalance,reachbackandgrasponefootwithyour
otherhand.Bringyourheelasclosetoyourbuttocksaspossible.Holdfor15counts,
thenrelax.Repeat3timesforeachleg.Stretches:Quadricepsandhipmuscles.
5. Inner Thigh Stretch
Sitwiththesolesofyourfeettogetherandyourkneesoutward.Pullyourfeet

12. TROJAN 1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
The Manufacturer hereby provides a warranty to the original purchaser of this product (‘the Consumer’) that this
productwillbefreeofmanufacturingdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipwhichundernormal,personal,familyor
householduse(commercialuseexpresslyexcluded)manifestthemselveswithinthe1yearfromthedateofpurchase.
EXCLUSIONS

have the fault rectied speedily and professionally.

• Call0861 Trojan (0861 876526) to log the faulty product (under warranty or out of warranty)
• Theoperatorortechnicaladvisorwilltryidentifythefault,andwillbookaserviceteamcallout.
• Theserviceteamwillendeavourtoxtheprobleminyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
• Onlyifthefaultcannotberepairedintheconvenienceofyourhome,willtheserviceteamtakethe
faultyproductbacktotheservicecentre.
• Itemsrepairedinourservicecentrewillbereturnedtoyourhomeonanagreeddateandtime.
