Assembly Instructions
TheZen Bowl Fountain is packed in two separate
cartons. Cartons are identified as 1/2 and 2/2.
Cartons must be unpacked and contents removed.
1A. Open Carton 1/2 and carefully remove all items,
which include one bowl, one braided hose, and a complete
Pump Kit.
1B. Open Carton 2/2 and carefully remove content,
which includes a pedestal and an inner container.
(The inner container holds the water for the fountain).
Position the inner container in the fountain’s desired
location. Then, carefully lift the outer pedestal and
set it over the inner container Make sure the hatch
faces the power source.

NOTE : Your new fountain has been designed for easy assembly. It should take a team of two less than
one hour to complete the process. Assemble the fountain in its desired permanent location.
Note Lay Carton 2/2 on its side for easy content removal.
Locate and prepare the Access Hatch.
The pedestal has a small access hatch on one side.
With the hatch facing the power source, remove
hatch cover with provided screwdriver, and set
aside. (Screwdriver is shipped with the pump kit).
Note Red valve and short side of braided hose must be
positioned as shown in photo.
Insert long end of braided hose through hatch,
and then through hole in top pedestal.

Note Because the electrical cord and plug will come
out through the notch at the bottom, the hatch must face
the power source.
Place and prepare the Braided Hose.
Connect and prepare the Pump.
Locate the pump kit. The pump kit contains 3
threaded connectors (small medium and large).
Select the largest diameter connector and screw
that firmly into the pump body. Loosen hose
clamp and position hose clamp over connector
for pump.
Tighten with provided screwdriver.
Connect the Hose to the Bowl.
Loosen hose clamp on the top portion of
braided hose. Slip hose onto connector found
on bottom of bowl. Tighten hose clamp with
provided screwdriver.
Place the Pump.
Carefully insert pump through hatch opening.
Place pump at bottom of the inner container.
Replace the Hatch Cover.
Thread plug and cord between inner container
and the inner wall of the pedestal. While
threading the plug and cord between the inner
container and the inside of the pedestal, tilt
the fountain and pull all excess cord through
the notch on the bottom edge. Do not allow the
fountain base to rest on the cord; the cord must
be positioned through the notch, as shown in
this photo.
Fill with water to 80% capacity. (Do not overfill).
Insert plug into power source. Run the fountain
for a few minutes to confirm that the pressure
base is at your desired setting. If the flow of
water needs to be adjusted, unplug fountain
from power source. Adjust flow as per Care and
Maintenance document provided with pump kit.
Once you are satisfied with the pressure, replace
the hatch cover and enjoy your new Zen Bowl
Fountain.

Note Hose must fully cover the connector.
IMPORTANT
Check and adjust water level periodically,
Due to evaporation,
clean water must be added periodically. Failing to do
so could cause the water pump to run dry, resulting in a damaged pump.
Damage to the water pump due to an inadequate water level in the fountain
base will void the limited warranty.
Winterization of Your Fountain -In colder climates, where temperatures can reach
below 32 degrees Fahrenheit on a regular basis, or where temperatures will drop
substantially below freezing, even for short periods of time, it is recommended that all
water be removed from the fountain kit during the cold months. Also, remove the water
pump by disconnecting the pump from the braided hose. Store the pump in a temperature-
controlled atmosphere (above freezing).
WARNING
NEVER REMOVE THE GROUND PIN FROM THE ELECTRICAL PLUG. FOR YOUR
PRO
TECTION, ALWAYS UNPLUG THE PUMP UNIT FROM ITS POWER SOURCE
BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING YOUR FOUNTAIN.
SHOULD THE UNIT APPEAR TO NOT BE WORKING PROPERLY, DO NOT REACH
FOR, REMOVE, OR DISASSEMBLE THE PUMP BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE
POWER.

While installing, keep children and pets out of reach.
Remember to make sure the plug is dry and clean before inserting into the outlet.
If having trouble with the water flowing evenly from the bowl to the pedastal, or
in the event
you need to level the surface of your fountain, use the included
shims to even out the water flow. To use the shims, place the shim{s} underneath
the base opposite the side that that is not flowing evenly. Once shim{s} are in
position break them off at the crease and this will hide the shim but keep the
fountain level.
Read the pump’s manual regarding water pressure control.
For electrical precautions, always use a properly grounded outlet.
