cable does not get crushed behind the appliance when install or moving the cooker.
Warning: Risk of burns! The appliance gets hot during use. Do not touch the hob or the
interior of the oven during use.
Using ingredients containing alcohol in the oven may create an alcohol-air mixture
that is easily ignited. In this case, open the door carefully. Do not have embers,
sparks or naked flames in the vicinity when opening the door.
Smother the fire with a pan lid, never use water.
On the hob, use only pans which are intended for use on hotplates. Use only ovenproof

7
Before first use
Before the first use be sure that the room is well ventilated: V.M.C. (Mechanic
ventilation) or opened window.
Remove all packaging, both inside and outside the oven, before using the oven.
Keep the children under supervision. The cooker becomes very hot.
Before first use, the oven should be heated without food. During this time, an unpleasant
odour may be emitted. This is quite normal.
1. Remove the oven accessories.
2. Remove any adhesive labels or protective films, if there are any.
3. Heat the oven the corresponding knob on position “250” for about 45 min.
Clean the accessories with a soft detergent. Rinse and dry carefully.
About condensation and steam
When food is heated it produces steam in the same way as a boiling kettle. The oven vents
allow some of this steam to escape. However, always stand back from the oven when
opening the oven door to allow any build up of steam or heat to release.
If the steam comes into contact with a cool surface on the outside of the oven, e.g. a trim,
it will condense and produce water droplets. This is quite normal and is not a fault with the
oven.
To prevent discolouration, regularly wipe away condensation and also soilage from
surfaces.
Cookware
Use any ovenproof cookware, which will withstand temperatures of 250
°
C.
Daily use
Electric hotplate
To switch on a hotplate, turn the relevant knob to the required heat setting.
The control knob is numbered 0-6
0 – Off
1 – Minimum
6 – Maximum
The hob has two types of hotplates:
Normal hotplates
We recommend to switch the hotplates to maximum (6) for a short while to boost the plate, and
then to adjust to the required setting.
8
Rapid Hotplate (Front left)
The rapid hotplates indicated by a red spot, will heat up more quickly than a normal
plate.
Over a period of time the red spot may disappear, this will not affect the performance of
the hotplate.
It is important to note that the hotplate may smoke and produce a slightly unpleasant
odour when used for the first time. This is quite normal and will disappear after some
time.
Main pilot light
This light will illuminate when the oven function control knob is set or the hotplate
control knobs are turned on and remain lit while these are in use.
Do not put anything on the hob that is liable to melt.

Hints and Tips
Saucepans for use on solid hotplates should have
several characteristics:
They should be fairly heavy duty.
They should fit the heat area exactly, or be
slightly larger for efficient use, NEVER
smaller.
They should have a flat base to ensure good
contact with the hotplate. This is particularity
important when using pans for high
temperature frying pressure cooking.
Good use
Bad use
9
As soon as liquid starts boiling, turn the hotplate
control knob so that it will barely keep the liquid
simmering.
You can switch off the hotplate a short while
before you finish cooking and the final stage will be
completed using the accumulated heat.
Ensure pans are large enough to avoid liquids
being split into the plates. Never leave the
plates on without a pan on them or with an
empty pan on them.
Take care never to lean or reach over a hot electric plate. Always point pan handles
inward or over the work surface next to the hob to avoid accidentally knocking over a
pan as you pass by.
Take care when frying food in hot oil or fat, as the overheated splashes could easily
ignite.
If the control knobs become difficult to turn, please contact your local Service Force
Centre.
Electric oven
The oven has removable side racks for the shelves with four rungs on each side.
Oven functions
For all oven functions, the oven indicator light comes on when the oven is
heating and goes out when the set temperature is reached (goes on and off as the
thermostat switches in and out). To choose an oven function, turn the function
control clockwise to the symbol for the desired function.
Oven light
The oven light comes on automatically for all settings. You can also have just the light on
without any of the other functions being turned on.
Top/bottom heat
Using both top and bottom elements.
Top element
Heat comes from the top of the oven.
Bottom element
Heat comes from the bottom to heat the oven.
10
Practical use
Never place aluminum foil, baking trays or oven dishes directly on the bottom of the
oven. Blocking heat from the bottom of the oven can damage the enamel through
overheating. The oven gets hot when in use: CHILDREN NEARBY MUST BE SUPERVISED.
The baking tray may warp temporarily due to temperature fluctuations, or if the food,
(pizza, etc.) is unevenly distributed on its surface. The tray resumes its shape when cool.
Bottom element
The heat comes from the bottom of the oven only. This position of the oven function knob
is recommended for finishing cooked dishes.
Preheating is necessary.
How to proceed?
1. Preheat the oven the oven function knob on position for about 10 min.
2. Insert the meal.
Top element
It is a radiant cooking. The heat comes from the top of the oven only. This position of the
oven function knob is suitable for finishing cooked dishes, e.g. lasagna, shepherds pie,
cauliflower cheese etc.
It is not necessary to preheat the oven.
How to proceed?
1. Insert the meal on the 3
rd
level.
2. Turn the oven function knob on position
.
To turn off the oven turn the knob clockwise to position off “0”.

Care and cleaning
The oven should be kept clean at all times. A build-up of fats or other foodstuffs could
result in a fire.
Before cleaning, ensure all control knobs are in the OFF position, and the appliance has
cooled completely.
Before any maintenance or cleaning can be carried out, you must DISCONNECT the
cooker from the electricity supply.
Cleaning materials
Before using any cleaning materials on your oven, check that they are suitable and that
their use is recommended by the manufacturer.
Cleaners that contain bleach should NOT be used as they may dull the surface finishes.
Do not use a steam cleaner for cleaning the oven and hobs. Harsh abrasives should also
be avoided.
12
External cleaning
We recommend that non-abrasive cleaners are used; Avoid the use of metal objects, steel
wool or nylon pads, abrasive or caustic products, as these may scratch the surface. Regularly
wipe over the control panel, oven door and door seal using a soft cloth well wrung out in
warm water to which a little washing up liquid has been added.
Cleaning the hotplates
Remove spillages as soon as possible, to prevent them from burning onto the hotplate.
Spills onto the actual plate should be removed using warm water and a soft brush, nylon or
plastic scorer. To keep the plates looking as new, hotplate conditioner can be purchased
from most hardware stores, e.g. “4 Hob” by HomeCare Products (follow the manufacturer’s
instruction for use). Alternatively, wipe the plates with a drop of olive oil on a kitchen towel
to avoid rust. It is important to note that the plate will smoke a little and produce a slightly
unpleasant odour when next used.
Drying
Important: After cleaning, dry the hotplates thoroughly by switching on to a low-medium
setting for a few minutes.
Restoring
To maintain the appearance of your sealed hotplates apply a little salt-free vegetable oil or
restorative agent periodically.
To apply vegetable oil: first heat the hotplate on a medium setting for 30 seconds then turn off.
Pour a very small amount of salt-free oil onto a dry cloth or kitchen paper. Apply a thin coat of
oil to the hotplate surface and wipe off any excess. Heat the hotplate on a medium setting for 1
minute.
To apply restorative agent: first heat the hotplate on a medium setting for 30 seconds then
turn off. Apply a very thin coating of Collo Electrol (using the applicator). Heat a hotplate
on a high setting for 2-3 minutes to cure. Some smoke will occur, this is normal and
nontoxic. (NB: this product is a restorative agent not a cleanser. It is available from
hardware stores).
Stainless steel parts: the stainless steel spill rings may become straw coloured with use. Use
a proprietary stainless steel cleaner to remove this straw discolouration. This also applies to
the area around the hotplates on stainless steel hobs.
Oven Cavity
The enameled oven cavity is best cleaned whilst the oven is still warm.
Wipe the oven over with a soft cloth soaked in warm soapy water after each use. From time
to time it will be necessary to do a more thorough cleaning, using a proprietary oven
cleaner.
Lid
This should be cleaned with a soft cloth soaked in warm detergent water. Do not use
abrasive scourers or steel wool.
Oven Shelves and shelf support
To clean the oven shelves and shelf support soak in warm soapy water and remove stubborn
marks with a well-wetted soap impregnated pad. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth.
13
Oven door
Removing oven door from its hinges
To make it easier to clean the oven, the oven door can
be removed.
Open the oven door into the horizontal position. Then
lift up the clips on the two door hinges as far as they
will go (a).
Slowly close the door again as far as the stop and lift
the door until the hinges come out (b).
Replacing the oven door on its hinges
When putting the door back on its hinges, reverse the procedure for removing the door
from its hinges.
Re-insert the door’s hinges into the slots (c). When you
do this, make sure the hinges engage properly and
evenly.
Then slowly lower the door downwards. When you do
this, make sure the corners of the door do not touch the
bottom of the frame (if this happens, lift the door up
again and realign the hinges).
Finally fold the clips back down towards the oven (d).
So that the door closes properly, press down on the
clips with something (e.g. a screwdriver) (e).
Slowly check the correct operation of the door.
Important: Never leave the door hinge levers standing
up. Otherwise the spring action can lead to injury.
14
Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass
since they can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.
Storage drawer
The removable drawer is located underneath the
oven cavity.
During cooking the drawer may become hot if the
oven is in use for a long period of time. Flammable
materials such as oven gloves, tea towels, plastic
aprons etc. should not be stored in the drawer.
Oven accessories such as baking sheets, will also
become hot, therefore care should be taken when
removing these items from the drawer whilst the
oven is in use or still hot.
To open
Catch the drawer from bottom and pull it out.
To remove the drawer
Pull it out till the stop, than lift it slowly and pull it out completely.
Reassemble the drawer following the same procedure in reverse.
Oven bulb replacement
Ensure that the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the electricity supply
before replacing the bulb to avoid possibility of an electric shock.
If the oven bulb needs replacing, it must comply with the following specifications:
Wattage: 25W
Voltage: 230V (50Hz)
Temperatures: 300ºC
Thread Type: E14
To replace the faulty bulb:
1. Turn the glass cover anticlockwise and remove.
2. Remove the faulty bulb and replace with a new
one.
3. Refit the glass cover.
Reconnect the appliance to the electricity supply.
