Safety Warnings
• A minimum distance of 5 cm around the
unit should be maintained to allow for
sucient ventilation.
• Do not install or place this unit in a
bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another
conned space. Ensure the unit is well
ventilated.
Safety
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains
supply before connecting / disconnecting
other devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket
during a lightning storm.
• In the interests of safety and to avoid
unnecessary energy consumption,
never leave the unit switched on while
unattended for long periods of time, e.g.
overnight, while on holiday or while out of
the house. Switch it o and disconnect the
mains plug from the mains socket.
Mains Cable
• Make sure the unit or unit stand is not
resting on top of the mains cable, as the
weight of the unit may damage the mains
cable and create a safety hazard.
• If the mains cable is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent, or similarly qualied persons in
order to avoid a hazard.
Interference
• Do not place the unit on or near appliances
which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely
aect the operating performance of the
unit, and cause a distorted picture or
sound.
Batteries
• Batteries used in the remote control for this
unit are easily swallowed by young children
and this is dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young
children and make sure that the battery
holder tray is secure in the remote control.
Seek medical advice if you believe a cell
has been swallowed.
• Please dispose of batteries correctly by
following the guidance in this manual.
• Read all the instructions carefully before
using the unit and keep them for future
reference.
• Retain the manual. If you pass the unit
onto a third party make sure to include this
manual.
• Check that the voltage marked on the
rating label matches your mains voltage.
Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after
unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the unit if you
are in any doubt about it working normally,
or if it is damaged in any way - switch o,
withdraw the mains plug and consult your
dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable
surface and should not be subjected to
vibrations.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable
surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the
unit and should be easily accessible.
• This unit is designed for indoor, domestic
use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature,
either hot or cold. Place the unit well away
from heat sources such as radiators or gas /
electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked
ame on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
product damage, do not expose this unit
to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No
objects lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can
cause serious damage. Switch it o at the
mains immediately. Withdraw the mains
plug and consult your dealer.

Preparation
Battery Replacement for the Remote Control
1. Press and slide the back cover to open the
battery compartment of the remote control.
2. Insert two AAA size batteries. Make sure the
(+) and ( – ) ends of the batteries match the
(+) and ( – ) ends indicated in the battery
compartment.
Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause re,
personal injury or damage to property.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix dierent types of batteries.
• Do not dispose of used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance with local
regulations.
Handling the Remote Control
• Do not drop the remote control.
• Do not allow anything to impact the remote control.
• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time, as corrosion or
battery leakage may occur and result in physical injury, and / or property damage, and / or re.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.

• The remote control sensor on the front unit is
sensitive to the remote control’s commands up
to a maximum of 5 metres away and within a
maximum of a 60° arc.

vary depending on the brightness of the room.

• Do not try to set up this unit alone. It may need at least 2 persons to lift your TV. Otherwise it may
result in a personal injury and / or property damages.
• Do not place the other objects except a TV or a monitor on the unit.
• The unit must be set up on a stable and horizontal surface.
• Do not put any other object between the unit and the supporting furniture when you set up the unit.
Setting Up the Unit
This unit is designed to be positioned under your TV. The unit supports a TV up to a
maximum dimension of 48 cm (W) x 30 cm (D) for its base and within a maximum load of
30 kg.

1. Place the unit in the position where you want to place your TV.
2. Ensure all audio connections of the unit are connected before connecting to the mains
power socket (refer to the section Connections for details).
3. Place your TV on the center of the unit.
4. Connect the mains cable to the mains socket.

Connections
Using the COAXIAL Connection
Use an coaxial cable (not included) to connect the external analogue component’s
COAXIAL sockets to the unit’s COAXIAL socket.
This section involves various methods of connecting the product to other external components. Ensure
all audio connections of the unit are connected before connecting to the mains power socket.
Using the OPTICAL Connection
Use an optical cable (not included) to connect the TVs OPTICAL OUT socket to the unit’s
OPTICAL 1 or OPTICAL 2 socket.

If there is no sound output and the OPTICAL indicator ashes, ensure the audio setting of the input
source (e.g. TV, game console, DVD player, etc.) is set to PCM mode with optical input.

Using the AUX Connection
Use an RCA stereo audio cable (not included) to connect the external analogue
component’s AUDIO OUT sockets to the units AUX IN 1 or AUX IN 2 sockets.
Connecting to the Mains Supply
The unit is designed to operate with the supplied mains cables. Unwind the mains cable to
its full length. Connect the other end of the mains cable to the AC IN socket at the rear of
the unit then connect the mains plug to the mains socket.

Connecting the DAB / FM Aerial
Connect one end of the aerial (included) to the ANT. socket at the rear of the unit. Then
position the aerial to obtain optimum reception.

• Connecting the unit to any other power source may damage the unit.
• Ensure all audio connections of the unit are connected before connecting to the mains power socket.
• Make sure the mains plug is rmly inserted into the mains socket.
• To switch the unit o completely, remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Please turn the unit o completely to save energy when not in use.

Turning the Radio On for the First Time
When the rst time you switch on, the unit will automatically search and store all the
available stations. You should conduct an additional Full Scan to ensure all stations are
picked up and stored.
1. Connect the mains plug to a mains socket. Make sure the mains plug is fully inserted
into the mains socket.
2. Press STANDBY/ON on the unit or
on the remote control to switch the unit on.
3. The unit will automatically enter into DAB mode and
perform the auto scan function. During the scan, the
display will show Scanning … together with a slide
bar that indicates the progress of the scan and the
amount of stations that have been found so far.
Once the scan has nished, the unit will broadcast the
rst alphanumerically found station.

Basic Operation
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains socket when not in use for a long period of time.
• Remove the mains plug from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit o completely.
This instruction manual explains the basic instructions for operating this unit. Unless otherwise stated, all
operations described are based on remote control use.
Switching ON/OFF
When you rst connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in STANDBY mode.
Press STANDBY/ON on the unit or
on the remote control to switch the unit between the
ON and STANDBY modes. The display will show the last used mode.
Automatic Power O Function
The unit automatically turns to STANDBY mode after 10 minutes if the TV or the external
unit is disconnected, switched o or the volume is too close to mute in Bluetooth®, AUX IN
1 Input, AUX IN 2 Input, Optical 1 Input, Optical 2 Input and Coaxial Input mode.
Selecting Input Mode
While the unit is on, press SOURCE on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to
switch between DAB, FM, Bluetooth®, AUX IN 1 Input, AUX IN 2 Input, Optical 1 Input,
Optical 2 Input and Coaxial Input modes.

Alternatively, press MENU on the unit or on the remote control to display the Disconnect screen, and
then press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm disconnecting.
Adjust the Speaker Level Settings
Adjusting the Volume
• Press + / – on the unit or VOL + / – on the remote control to adjust the volume.
• If you wish to turn the sound o, press MUTE on the remote control. Press MUTE again,
or press + / – on the unit or VOL + / – on the remote control to resume normal listening.
Selecting Equaliser (EQ) Eect
Press EQ to switch between preset equalisers to suit individual preference. Cycle through
the preset equalisers to select the preferred sound ambience. Standard settings are Pop,
Default, Live, Movie, Jazz and Rock.
Automatically Setting the Clock
The clock can be set and updated automatically if you can receive DAB / FM signals in your
location. In order for the clock to synchronise to the current local time you must leave it on
one DAB / FM station for a short period of time.
AUX IN / OPTICAL / COAXIAL Operation
There are AUX IN 1 / AUX IN 2 / OPTICAL 1 / OPTICAL 2 / COAXIAL sockets located at the
rear of the unit. The audio sound signals from other sources can be connected to the unit
through these sockets.
1. Before connecting to the mains socket, ensure all the connections are completed.
2. Press STANDBY/ON on the unit or
on the remote control to switch the unit on.
3. Press SOURCE on the unit on the remote control repeatedly to select DAB, FM,
Bluetooth®, AUX IN 1 Input, AUX IN 2 Input, Optical 1 Input, Optical 2 Input and
Coaxial Input modes.
4. Operate your audio device directly for playback features.
Bluetooth® Operation
Pairing the unit with a Bluetooth® device to listen to music:
1. During ON mode, press SOURCE on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to
select Bluetooth® mode. The display will show BT Ready”.
2. Activate your Bluetooth
® device and select the search mode. TH-WT301B will appear
on your Bluetooth® device list.
3. Select “TH-WT301B and enter 0000 for the password if necessary. The display will
show “Device Connected”.
4. To disconnect the Bluetooth® function, switch to another function on the unit or disable
the function from your Bluetooth® device.

• The operational range between the unit and the device is approximately 10 metres.
• Before connecting a Bluetooth® device to the unit, ensure you know the devices capabilities.
• Compatibility with all Bluetooth® devices is not guaranteed.
• Any obstacle between the device and the unit can reduce operational range.
• Keep this player away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.
• The player will also be disconnected when your device is moved beyond the operational range.
If your Bluetooth® device supports A2DP, play music via your device.
If your Bluetooth® device supports AVRCP, use supplied remote control to control play.

NFC (Near Field Communication) Operation
Pair your NFC-enabled mobile device directly with this unit by just a single tap.
1. Activate NFC on your mobile device.
2. While the unit is on, press SOURCE on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to
select Bluetooth® mode. “BT Ready will be displayed on the window.
3. Tap the mobile device on the
icon of the unit until the device vibrates or a message
pops up. Your devices Bluetooth® will be activated.
4. Operate your mobile device directly for playback features.
5. To disconnect, tap the mobile device on the
icon of the unit to disconnect or disable
NFC from your mobile device.
General Settings
1. Ensure the unit is turned ON (not in STANDBY mode), press MENU on the unit or on
the remote control to display the menu.
2. Press
on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to scroll through the
options and then press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm.
3. Press MENU on the unit or on the remote control to return to the previous menu.
Sleep
This function allows you to programme the unit to switch to standby mode by itself after a
set sleep time.
1. In Sleep screen, press
on the unit or on the remote control to select your desired
sleep time cycle through Sleep O / 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 90 minutes.
2. Press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm.

• The NFC function only works with mobile devices that support NFC technology.
• You may need to remove your mobile devices case to connect using NFC.

Alternatively press SLEEP on the remote control to select this function.
Equaliser
In Equaliser screen, press on the unit or on the remote control to select Pop,
Default, Live, Movie, Jazz and Rock. Then press SELECT on the unit or on the remote
control to conrm.
Setting the Time and Date
In TIME screen, press on the unit or on the remote control to select the option
below, then press SELECT to conrm.
Set Time/Date Set Time or Date.
Auto Update Update from Any / Update from DAB / Update from FM / No update.
Set 12/24 Hour 12 or 24 hour format.
Set Date Format Select DD-MM-YYYY or MM-DD-YYYY date format.
Backlight
In Backlight screen, press on the unit or on the remote control to scroll through
the options then press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm.

In Language screen, press on the unit or on the remote control to scroll through
the options then press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm.
Factory Reset
In the Factory Reset screen, press on the unit or on the remote control to select Yes
or No then press SELECT to conrm.
3. When the sleep timer counts down to zero, the unit will switch to standby mode. To
turn the sleep function o while the sleep timer is still counting down, press
on the
unit or on the remote control to standby mode. will disappear from the display.
After factory reset, all tuned stations, preset stations will be erased and the unit will return to standby
mode.

Software Upgrade
This function is only for servicing purposes. If selected accidently, press on the unit or
on the remote control to select No then press SELECT to exit.
Software Version
In the SW version screen, the software version will show on the display.
The unit will automatically perform auto scan function while the unit is connected to the mains
power and switched on from standby for the rst time. If it’s not function, press SELECT on the unit
or on the remote control to start auto scan in Station list menu. Alternatively, press on the unit
or on the remote control, and then press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to start
auto scan in Full scan menu.
2. Once the scan has nished, the unit will display a list of the found stations. Explore the
found stations by pressing TUNE, then on the unit or on the remote control.
And then press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm selected
station. All stations that have been found will be automatically stored.
In DAB mode, press MENU on the unit or the remote control to display the DAB menu.
Press
on the unit or on the remote control to scroll through the options then
press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm.
Station List Select from a list of DAB stations.
Full Scan Perform auto scan.
Auto Scan
The auto scan will search for the entire DAB Band III channels. After the scan has nished,
the rst alphanumerically found station will be automatically selected.
1. Press MENU to enter the DAB menu, then press
on the unit or on the remote
control to select Full Scan. Press SELECT to conrm. The display will show Scanning
... that indicates the progress of the scan and the amount of stations that have been
found so far.
Alternatively directly press SCAN to perform a full scan.
2. Once the scan has nished, the unit will display the total number of stations have
been found and a list of the found stations. All stations that have been found will be
automatically stored.
DAB Operation
1. Press SOURCE on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to select DAB radio.

Full auto scan will not replace the DAB stations in memory. If you want to remove all the previously
scanned stations, system reset is required.
1. Alternatively press and hold PRESETS on the unit to display the Preset Store <#: (Empty)>.
2. Press
on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to select a preset number.
3. Press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm, and the unit shows Preset Stored”.
1. Alternatively press PRESETS on the unit to display the Preset Recall menu.
2. Press
on the unit or on the remote control repeatedly to select a preset station you wish
to listen.
3. Press SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to conrm.
Recalling a Preset Station
Once you have saved a station, you can recall a preset station by pressing preset button
(1-10) on the remote control.
Secondary Services
You may see a >> symbol after the name of the station, this indicates that there are
secondary services available to that station. These secondary services contain extra
services that are related to the primary station. e.g. a sports station may want to add extra
commentaries. The secondary services are inserted directly after the primary station in the
station list.
To select the secondary station, press TUNE and then press
on the unit or directly press
on the remote control until you nd the secondary service you want, then press
SELECT on the unit or on the remote control to select it.
When the secondary service ends, the unit will automatically switch back to the primary
station.
Saving Preset Stations
You can store up to 10 of your favourite stations to the memory. This will enable you to
access your favourite stations quickly and easily.
1. To store a preset, you must rst be listening to the station that you would like to save.
2. Press and hold you target preset button (1-10) on the remote control till the unit shows
Preset Stored”.
3. To explore the found stations, press TUNE and then press
on the unit or directly
press on the remote control to the selected station.

DAB Display Modes
Every time you press INFO on the remote control, the display will cycle through the
following display modes.
The information is displayed on the lower segment of the display.
DLS (Dynamic Label Segment)
Dynamic label segment is a scrolling message that
the broadcaster may include with their transmissions.
The message usually includes information, such as
program details etc.
Signal Strength
The display will show a slide bar to indicate the signal
strength, the stronger the signal, the longer the bar
will be from left to right.
Programme Type
This describes the style of the programme that is
being broadcast.
Ensemble/Multiplex Name
A multiplex is a collection of radio stations that are
bundled and transmitted on one frequency. There
are national and local multiplexes. Local ones contain
stations that are specic to that area.
Frequency
The frequency of the present station will be
displayed.
DAB – unlike normal radio, groups together several radio
stations and transmits them on one frequency.
Signal Error
The error is shown as a number. If the number is 0,
it means the signal received is error free and the
signal strength is strong. If the error rate is high, it
is recommended to reposition the radio aerial or
reposition the unit.
