Signal word Meaning

This appliance is intended to be used to control the brightness of connected spotlights. Any

other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result

in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from

improper use.

This device may be used only by persons with sucient physical, sensorial, and intellectual

abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use this

device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.

DANGER!

Danger for children

Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not

within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard!

Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) from

the unit. They could swallow the pieces and choke!

Never let children unattended use electrical devices.

Within the device there are areas where high voltages may be present. Never

remove any covers.

There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

Do not use the device if covers, protectors or optical components are missing or

damaged.

Do not modify the mains cable or the plug. Failure to do so could result in electric

shock/death or re. If in doubt, seek advice from a registered electrician.

Power supply

Before connecting the device, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches

the voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residual

current circuit breaker. Failure to do so could result in damage to the device and

possibly injure the user.

Unplug the device before electrical storms occur and when it is unused for long

periods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or re.

4 Installation and starting up

Unpack and carefully check that there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep

the equipment packaging. To fully protect the device against vibration, dust and moisture

during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material

suitable for transport or storage, respectively.

Create all connections while the device is o. Use the shortest possible high-quality cables for

all connections. Take care when running the cables to prevent tripping hazards.

The unit is designed for wall or tripod mounting. For this purpose, there is a mounting bracket

on top of the unit. Using the two M10 threads, the device can be mounted vertically or hori‐

zontally with suitable screws on a tripod. Alternatively, there are two bores available for wall

mounting using suitable mounting hooks and anchors (mounting hardware not included).

First, connect the loads to the terminals on the sides of the device. If you want to operate the

device in ‘DMX’ mode, establish the DMX connection to the controller. Finally, connect the

power plug of the device to a mains power socket.

Connect the DMX input of the device to the DMX output of a DMX controller or another DMX

device. Connect the output of the rst DMX device to the input of the second one, and so on

to form a daisy chain. Always ensure that the output of the last DMX device in the daisy chain

is terminated with a resistor (110 Ω, ¼ W).

1 Mounting rail for mounting on a wall or on a truss beam. Maximum tube diameter: 45 mm.

2 Dimmer outputs, 4 protective contact sockets.

Arrow button to decrease the displayed value.

4 [MODE]

Switches between the operating modes.

Arrow button to increase the displayed value.

6 Display with additional indicator LED

[DMX signal]: lights up when the unit is turned on and receives a DMX signal.

7 Channel indicators [1]…[4].

In all operating modes, the channel indicators show which channels are currently being used by the running pro‐

gramme (LEDs light up).
