1 Select zone/channel.
2 Listen for a transmission.
3 Adjust volume, if necessary.
4 Press the PTT button to transmit; release to
receive.
1 Press and hold the Emergency button for 1 sec.
2 The display shows Emergency and the
current zone/channel. Radio sounds a short,
medium-pitched tone, and the LED blinks red
momentarily.

The more stripes, the stronger the
signal strength for the current site.
Direct radio to radio communication, not
using a repeater. Channel M13 only.
Radio is set at High power.

Blinking dot = Detects activity on the
physically selected channel.

Send Audible Alert to a Radio
1 < or > until Page is displayed.
2 Press the button directly below Page.
3 Use the keypad to enter the required ID.
4 Press the PTT button to send the page.
Editing the Scan List
1 < or > until ScnL is displayed.
2 Press the directly below ScnL.
3 U or D to the entry you want to edit.
4 Press the button directly below Sel to
add the currently selected channel to the
scan list.
Press the button directly below Del to
delete the currently displayed channel
from the scan list.
Press the button directly below Rcl to
view the next member of the scan list.
Hold the radio vertically 1 to 2 inches from
your mouth. Press the PTT button, wait for
an acknoldgement beep, speak clearly and
slowly. Release the PTT when done.
Making a Radio Call
Changing Decks / Zones
Use the A/B/C selector switch at the top of
the radio, use the single dot side button, or
use the menu buttons on the front panel,
under the main display.
