Troubleshooting
DO NOT ATTEMPT to modify either unit. Any modifications to either
unit can void the operator’s authority to operate the equipment and all
warranties.
1. The Key Ring and Base Units audible alarms may only be
Extinguished/Deactivated by:
a) removing your child from the Child Safety Seat
b) eight seconds after returning the Key Ring and Base Units within
15 meters of each other.
2. Reset the Base and Key Ring Units when Base Unit is Deactivated and
Key Ring Unit remains in Alarm Mode when more than 15 meters from
the Base Unit:
Problem: The Key Ring Unit continues to beep even upon returning to
proximity of the deactivated Base Unit.
Solution: Re-activate System. To do so, place child or weight on Elite
Pad and return Key Ring Unit to within 15 meters distance of the Base
Unit. Wait ten seconds for system to activate (see Arming/Activation of
the ChildMinder
®
System on other side).
3. Base Unit beeps 4 times then stops.
The Elite Pad System is designed to activate upon 4 lbs or greater
pressure. Should you inadvertently place an object on the Elite Pad
and remove it, the Elite pad will beep 4 times then return to its resting
mode.
