Synchronization
Both the Key Ring and the Elite Pad/Base Units are
factory pre-programmed to synchronize to one another.
The Elite Pad/Base Unit is able to synchronize to four
Key Ring Units.
When synchronization becomes necessary
When the Elite Pad System is activated by placing your
child in his CRS/safety seat:
1. Press the center button on the Key Ring and the unit
will start to beep and the Green LED will begin to flash.
2. With a pointed object, press the Learn button located
above the LED indicator of the Key Ring. The Key Ring
will beep and the red and green LEDs begin flashing.
3. Press the button located next to the LED indicator
of the Base Unit. The Base Unit will stop beeping as
the green LED flickers for 3 seconds. The Key Ring
will beep twice and its green LED will begin to flash.
Then, the Base Unit’s green LED will start to flash.
4. The devices are now synchronized.
Engaging the System Alarm
The Key Ring will beep within 8 seconds after a separation
distance of 15 feet (5 meters) from the activated Elite Pad.
Once the alarm is activated, the Key Ring and Base Unit
will beep until either:
a) The child has been removed from the CRS/safety
seat, or
b) Eight (8) seconds after the Key Ring and Base Unit
are returned within 15 feet (5 meters) distance of
each other.
Deactivation of ChildMinder System
With the activated Key Ring Unt less than 15 feet
(5 meters) distance to activated Base Unit, proceed to
remove your child from the CRS/safety seat. Once the
child has been removed from the seat, the Base Unit
will beep 4-5 times followed by 4-5 beeps of the Key
Ring. The system is now deactivated.
Battery
The batteries are expected to last 6 months with normal
use. You will need to replace the batteries when the units
emit a low battery warning.
Low Battery Warning
When the battery is low and needs to be replaced
in either of the units, the Key Ring and/or Base
Unit will beep and the red and green LEDs will flash
simultaneously when activated.
Troubleshooting
Do not attempt to modify either of the units. Any
modifications can cause the devices not to function
properly and void the warranty.
1. The Key Ring and Base Unit’s alarm may only be
silenced/deactivated by:
a) Removing your child from the CRS
2. After 8 seconds after returning the Key Ring and Base
Unit within 15 feet (5 meters) distance of each other.
Should the Base Unit be deactivated while the Key Ring
is in the Alarm Mode (farther than 15 feet (5 meters)
distance of the Base Unit), the Key Ring will continue
to beep even when returned within 15 feet (5 meters)
distance of the deactivated Base Unit.
Solution: Reactivate the system by placing your child or
a weight into the safety seat to activate the Base Unit and
return the Key Ring within 15 feet (5 meters) distance of
the Base Unit. Wait 10 seconds for the system to activate,
then go through the normal Deactivation procedures.
