ShenZhen Keymantek K36 is a Hand-held Terminal which runs on Microsoft Windows CE.Net 6.0 and has a 256M Flash ROM, 64M DDR2 memory, a 400 MHz Processor, 2.8 inches TFT High-reliability adjustable LED Display with 240x320 resolution and a 2800mAh lithium-ion battery. It includes a stylus, USB cable, charger, and lithium-ion battery. The K36 is IP54 and can withstand being dropped from a height of 1.2 meters. It supports WiFi, GPRS, GPS and BlueTooth for communication, can scan 1D and 2D barcodes, and can read RFID tags using 125KHz, 134.2KHz, and 13.56MHz frequencies.

Chapter 2 Getting Start
2.1 Installing & Changing Battery
1. Be sure that the Terminal is turned off;
2. Unlock the Battery Cover;
3. Remove the Battery Cover;
4. Insert battery in the battery compartment with the tie on the
battery;
5. Replace the battery cover by inserting the top first;
6. Lock the Battery Lock.
2.2 Power on & Power off
1. Power on
Insert battery in the battery compartmentPress the button

Please calibrate the screen when turning on the terminal for the
first time.

You can recalibrate the screen at anytime.
2. Power off
Please close all programs before turning the terminal off.
Press button for more than 3 seconds,the display will be closed,
Power LED is off, terminal closed. (See Figure2-6)

2.3 Charging the Battery
1. Insert the battery into the terminal compartment and charge the
battery with USB charger.
NoteTurn the terminal off before charging.
When the pictureSee Figure 2-7-1/Figure 2-7-2appears ,battery need to
be recharged.

2.4 Sleep & Wakeup
(1). Sleep
Just press (more than 3 seconds)to set the terminal in sleep
stae when the terminal is power on.Keyboard and/or touchpad does not
respond unless the terminal wakes up.
The terminal will sleep if there is no operation for a long time when
the terminal is on.See 3.2 for setting the time.
2. Wakeup
Press to wake the terminal when the terminal is in sleep mode.
NoteFrequently press in a short time(10 seconds)may result in
losing data and display damage.

The Taskbar at the bottom of the window displays the active

double-clicking the icon.Select ->"Settings"->"Taskbar and Start

2.6 Desktop
The desktop window appears when power on the termnal
A menu will appear when you keep pressing the touchpad See

2.7 Resetting the Terminal
If the terminal stops responding to input,reset it.
Insert the stylus into Reset PortSee Figure 2-14 for more than
1 second to reset the terminal.You can also release battery , install
battery and power it on to reset.

Select "Control Panel"-" Settings" to change system settings.(See Figure

3.2 Power
Select "Control Panel"-"Power",you can see the status of the main
and backup batteries and set power management options.
Battery tab:provide general information on battery conditions.The
amount of useful operating time remaining varies depending on battery
type and how you use the terminal.
