UPSModes

TheUPSoperationmodeisindicatedinthetoprightcornerofthescreenundertheheadingUPS

Mode.TheUPSmodeindicatesthecurrentstatusoftheoperatedUPS.

NormalOperation

Duringnormaloperation,theUPSsupportsthecriticalloadwithconditionedpower.WhiletheUPSis

operatinginnormaloperation,asingle-linediagramwillappearonthescreen.Agreenlineindicates

thepowerowfromtheutility/mains,throughtheUPSsystem,andtotheload.Thegreenlinetothe

batteriesindicatesthatthebatteriesareconnected.

Batteryoperation

Iftheutility/mainssupplyfails,theUPStransferstobatteryoperation.Duringbatteryoperation,

batterypowerensuresuninterruptedsupporttothecriticalload.WhiletheUPSsystemisinbattery

operation,asingle-linediagramwillappearonthescreen.Thegreenlineindicatesthepowerow

fromthebatteries,throughtheinverters,andthentotheload.

Requestedstaticbypassoperation/forcedstaticbypassoperation

TheUPSisinrequestedstaticbypassfollowingacommandfromthegraphicaluserinterface.And

theUPSisinforcedbypasswhenafaultonthesystemhascausedstaticbypassoperation.During

staticbypassoperation,thecriticalloadissupplieddirectlybyutility/mainspower.WhiletheUPSis

operatinginthismode,asingle-linediagramwillappearonthescreen.Theorangelineindicatesthe

powerowfromtheutility/mainsthroughthebypassstaticswitch,andthentothecriticalload.

Note:Thebatteriesarenotavailableasanalternatepowersourcewhilethesystemis

inforcedstaticbypassoperation.Thebatteriesareavailableinrequestedbypass,and

itispossibletomanuallytransfertonormaloperation.Ifthereisaninterruptiontothe

utility/mainspowersupplyduringrequestedstaticbypassoperation,thesystemwill

transfertobatteryoperation.Thiswillcauseaninterruptiontothepowersupplyingthe

loadandmayresultinaloaddrop.

Batterytest

TheUPSisinbatterytestmodewhentheUPSisperformingabatteryself-test.Duringbatterytest,

thebatteryruntimecapacityisreducedby10%.

Note:Thebatterytestwillstopifthemainssupplyfailsduringthetest.

SystemModes

ThesystemmodeisindicatedinthetoprightcornerofthescreenundertheheadingSystemMode.The

systemmodeindicatesthecurrentoutputstatusofthecompletesystem,andnottheindividualUPSunit.

On

WhenthesystemmodeisOn,theUPSsystemsupportsthecriticalloadwithconditionedpower.The

loadissupportedbytheUPSinbothnormalandbatteryoperation.

Off

WhenthesystemmodeisOff,theUPSsystemdoesnotsupporttheconnectedloadwithpower.

Requestedstaticbypassoperation/forcedstaticbypassoperation

TheUPSisinrequestedstaticbypassfollowingacommandfromthegraphicaluserinterface.And

theUPSisinforcedbypasswhenafaultonthesystemhascausedstaticbypassoperation.During

staticbypassoperation,thecriticalloadissupplieddirectlybyutility/mainspower.WhiletheUPSis

operatinginthismode,asingle-linediagramwillappearonthescreen.Theorangelineindicatesthe

WhiletheUPSsystemisinmaintenancebypassoperation,asingle-linediagramwillappearon

thescreen.Theorangelineindicatesthepowerowfromtheutility/mains,andthentothecritical

loadviatheQ3switch.

Note:ThebatteriesarenotavailableasanalternatepowersourcewhiletheUPSsystem

isinmaintenancebypassoperation.

AutostartCountdown

ThesystemcanbesetupforanautomaticstartwhenACutilitypowerisrestoredfollowingalow

batteryvoltageshutdown.Theautostartcountdownwindowisshownoverallscreensuntilthe

countdownperiodexpiresortheautostartismanuallystoppedbypressingthestopbutton.

Thisfeatureisdisabledbydefaultandisnotsupportedinparallelsystems.ContactAPCifthis

featureshouldbeenabled.
