AK6 OUTSIDE AIR KIT

For Wood Burning Fireplaces

Installation Instructions

The outside air vent is installed through a ventilated crawl space.

Install outside air vent termination in a location that would not

eventually be obstructed by bushes, snow or other obstructions.

Vent must be located near replace to make ex duct instal-

lation easier. Flex duct supplied measures approximately 10"

compressed and up to approximately 3 feet extended.

1. Remove outer wrapper cover. Cut out any visible insula-

tion (insulated models only) that may obstruct airow.

2. Extend ex duct to attach air inlet tube. Insert inner tab of

inlet tube into mating slot next to opening. Place outer tab

of inlet tube over mating hole next to opening and secure

with screws provided. Seal any remaining gaps around

inlet tube with metal tape, screws or tie straps.
