Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the voltage in
your home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the
plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service
repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domesc use only. Industrial or commercial
use will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury
or damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its
intended use.
Incorrect operaon and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to
the user.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. If
the unit has been damaged take the unit for examinaon and or repair by an
authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in
water or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
someone who is suitably qualied to avoid a potenal hazard.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the
cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near
hot gas ,electric burners or in a heated oven.
Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However

Before rst me use
Before using the appliance for the rst me, please remove all the various
packaging materials and wipe the unit with a slightly dampened cloth.
Operate the appliance without any food inside it when using it for the rst me.
This will burn o any residues le on during the manufacturing process.
Posion the appliance so that it can be opened to its full extent.
When the appliance is warming up always keep the lid closed.
Apply a light coang of buer, margarine or cooking fat to the heang
plates using a brush or a cloth. This helps seal the heang plates and
should only be carried out once.
The green operaon light goes out during operaon, when the appliance is
warming up and when the desired temperature has been aained.
When using the appliance for the rst me, the appliance may slightly
smoke and emit a small odour. This will not re-occur and is due to the
residues le on by the manufacturing process being burned o. This is
completely harmless and is not a cause for concern.
Aer the appliance has gone through the above menoned process clean
the appliance fully as described in “cleaning and maintenance”.
Operaon
 Plug the device into a properly installed mains socket (the red and green
operaon lamp will light up) and switch the device on by turning the
adjustment knob to the right temperature level.
 The wae iron requires approx. 4-5 minutes to warm up.
 When the desired temperature has been aained, the green operang
light will go o.
 Now open the device and pour the wae baer inside.
 The heang plates include a non-sck coang. This means that pre-
6
greasing is not necessary for normal use.
 Now shut the lid. The cooking process lasts approximately 5-6 minutes
(depending on the thickness and content of the wae dough).
 Remove the waes once they are cooked with a wooden or heat resistant
plasc spatula. Do not use any objects with sharp edges to avoid damaging
the coang.
 If you intend to prepare mulple servings of waes keep the lid closed to
conserve the heat.
 Unplug the device aer use.
Cleaning and care
Before cleaning the appliance always switch the appliance o, disconnect it from
the electrical supply and allow it to completely cool.
Do not allow stains to dry. Clean the appliance and the cooking surfaces as
soon as the appliance cools.
The inner baking surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild
washing up liquid. Then wipe the surfaces dry with a so cloth.
Do not use any wire wool, metal brushes, scourers or other hard objects to
clean the appliance and the baking surfaces as they could scratch the
appliance and its non-sck surfaces.
The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external
mer or separate remote control system.

Electrical informaon
Please note:
It is extremely important that the wires or cores in the ex are connected to the
correct terminals in the plug. If the colour of the mains lead of the appliance does
not correspond with the coloured markings idenfying the terminals in your plug
proceed as follows:
The Live (Brown) wire
connects to the right-
most live (L) terminal
nearest to the fuse.
The Neutral (Blue)
wire connects to the
le-most neutral (N)
terminal.
The Earth (Green and
Yellow) wire connects
to the central, top
most earthed (E)
terminal.
Warning:
If the appliance is double insulated indicated by the double insulated symbol:
it should not have an earth wire or earth connecon.
Plug
The plug must be protected by the correct AMP fuse; this will be indicated on the
case of the plug. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. When changing
the fuse always replace it with a fuse that is of the same idencal rang as the
original. If you are unsure about which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a
qualied electrician.
Please note aer replacing the fuse, ensure that the cover is correctly ed back
onto the plug. Never aempt to run the appliance if the plug does not have a cover.
If a moulded plug is ed and has to be removed take great care in disposing of the
12
plug and severed cable, it must be destroyed to prevent it from engaging into a
socket. If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or a
similarly qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
