SAFE APPLIANCE LOCATIONS
Thisapplianceshallonlybeusedinanabove
groundopen-airsituationwithnaturalventilation,
withoutstagnantareas,wheregasleakageand
productsofcombustionarerapidlydispersedby
windandnaturalconvection.
Any enclosure in which the appliance is used
shall comply with the following:
Anenclosurewithwallsonallsides,butatleast
onepermanentopeningatgroundlevelandno
overheadcover(seeExample1).
Withinapartialenclosurethatincludesan
overheadcoverandnomorethantwowalls
(seeExample2&3).
Within a partial enclosure that includes an
overhead cover and more than two walls, the
following will apply:
atleast25%ofthetotalwallareaiscompletely
open,andatleast30%oftheremainingwallarea
isopenandunrestricted(seeExample4&5).
In the case of balconies, at least 20% of the
total wall area shall be and remain open and
unrestricted.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Removeappliancefromcartonandremove
anytransitprotectionmaterial.
a. Theapplianceareamustbekeptclearand
freeofcombustiblematerials,gasolineand
otherflammablevapoursandliquids.
b. Gasorificesandburnermustbekept
clearofdirtandcobwebs.Flowof
combustionandventilationairthroughthe
perforatedportionsoftheappliancemust
notbeobstructed.
c.Anycleaningagentusedontheappliance
shouldbeofanon-combustibleand
non-corrosivenature.
2. Properclearancefromcombustiblematerials
mustbemaintainedatalltimes.Theminimum
clearancesareasfollows:

Combustiblematerialsareconsideredtobe
wood,compressedpaper,plantfibres,plastic,
plexiglasorothermaterialscapableofbeing
ignitedandburned.
Suchmaterialsshallbeconsideredcombustible
eventhoughflameproofed,fire-retardant
treatedorplastered.Additionalclearancemay
berequiredforglass,paintedsurfacesandother
materialswhichmaybedamagedbyradiantor
convectionheat.
3. Attachtheappliancetothespecifiedcylinder
andensurethatcontrolvalveisfullyclosed
andthesealinggasketisfirmlysealedagainst
neckofconnector.
4. Theapplianceshouldonlybeoperatedonlyon
alevelandstablesurface.
LIGHTING AND REGULATING
Openthecylindercontrolvalveapproximately
halfaturnandlightgasatburnereitherwith
alightedmatchorpressingthepiezoignitor.
Regulatetheflametotheheatdesiredby
openingorclosingthevalve.Avoidexcessflame
fromthegauze.
REPLACING JETS
Ifthejetshouldbecomeblockedorneed
replacement,unscrewtheadaptorandremove
jet.Toclearblockedjetswashinpetrol.Donot
usewiresorprickers.Ifwashingisunsuccessful,
fitnewjet.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
Cleanthebodyofyourapplianceusingacotton
clothsoakedinsoapyhotwater.Neveruse
abrasiveorflammablecleaningproducts.Usea
softbrushtocleantheburner.
STORAGE
Whentheapplianceisnotuseditmustbe
storedinasuitableareatoprotectitfromany
riskofdeterioration.Keepitinawellventilated
areaandoutofreachofchildren.
HANDY HINTS
a.Inspectthe“O”Ringandrubberwasher
regularlyandreplaceifwornordamaged.
b. Neverconnectordisconnecttheappliance
nearanopenflame.
c. CheckforgasleakswithSOAPYWATER.
DO NOT USE A FLAME.
d. Ensuretheapplianceiscompletely
extinguishedbeforedisconnectingfromthe
cylinder.
e. DONOTplacetheappliancecloserthan60cm
fromceilingorflammablematerial.
f. Whenliftingappliancealwaysusethehandle
onthegascylinder,NEVERUSETHEHEATER.
