INSTALLATION
OJ Zone Master should be fitted to a standard 35 mm DIN rail mounted in a metal
enclosure corresponding to the installation site classification (see figs 2 and 3 for
unit dimensions). An overview of the physical configuration of the system is given
in fig. 19.
OJ GreenZone™ Master must be connected to a 24 VAC +/-15% power supply and
is therefore equipped with screw terminals (max. 1.5 mm
2
) for the purpose.
Other connections are made by means of a combination of RJ12 connectors and
screw terminals for wires of max. 1.5 mm
2
cross-sectional area.
Electrical connection (see overview in fig. 1)
In fig. 4, all connectors are marked with a letter (A – P).
See below for descriptions of electrical connection of the various components,
inputs and outputs, and other signals of the OJ GreenZone™ Master.
Connecting analogue outputs, marked “A” (see figs 4 and 5)
OJ GreenZone™ Master is equipped with three analogue outputs (0-10 VDC) (see
figs 4 and 5).
Analogue output 1 is marked “Aou1” (terminal 17) and can be used to control the
speed of the inlet fan of the ventilation system (main unit).
Analogue output 2 is marked “Aou2” (terminal 18) and can be used to control the
speed of the exhaust fan of the ventilation system (main unit).
Analogue output 3 is marked “Aou3” (terminal 19) and can be used to control the
speed of the cooling system circulation pump.
The shared ground connection (GND) is marked
(terminal 16).
In order to control the fans as energy-eciently as possible, OJ GreenZone™
Module contains a built-in function which constantly optimises damper position.
This optimisation ensures that duct pressure is always as low as possible, that the
zones receive the correct air volume, and that no VAV zone damper is more than
80% open.
If there be a demand for cooling in at least one zone, the inlet temperature of
the main unit is calculated according to the minimum setpoint setting in the OJ
GreenZone™ Master. If there is no demand for cooling in any of the zones, the
inlet temperature of the main unit is calculated according to the lowest calculated
setpoint for the connected zones.
The speed of the cooling water circulation pump is controlled in such a way as to
ensure sucient pressure for the zone cooling valves to be at least 80% open. The
pressure in the cooling system is thus reduced, also reducing the energy consump-
tion of the cooling pump.
