1. Open the battery compartment door by
carefully loosening the screw with a coin.
2. Install three fresh AAA batteries, following the
illustration inside the battery compartment.
•Donotuserechargeablebatteries.
•Donotmixoldandnewbatteries.
•Donotmixdierenttypesofbatteries:
alkaline, standard (carbon zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
•Donotrechargenonrechargeablebatteries.
•Removerechargeablebatteriesfromthetoy
before recharging.
•Onlychargerechargeablebatteriesunder
adult supervision.
•Onlyusebatteriesofthesameorequivalent
type as recommended.
•Insertbatterieswiththecorrectpolarity.
•Removeexhaustedbatteriesfromtheunit.
•Donotshortcircuitthesupplyterminals.
•Topreventcorrosionandpossibledamage
to the product, we recommend removing the
batteries from the unit if it will not be used for
more than two weeks.
3. Close the compartment door and tighten
the screw.

to comply with the limits for a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable
protection against harmful interference in a
residentialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,

Time to Color Groove!
Before you start, install 3 AAA
batteries in the battery compartment
on the back of RainbowJam according
to the instructions in this guide.
RainbowJam is simple to use
1.
SlidethePowerandVolumeswitch
to power on and choose the
desired volume level.
2. Slide the mode switch to
Instrument Mode or Song Mode.
•If the Instrument Mode is selected,
a note from the musical scale will
play to represent the scanned color.
•If the Song Mode is selected,
a song about the scanned color
will play.
3. Use the base sensor to push down
on a color to hear a note or song.
Note:
• RainbowJam recognizes a limited
number of colors.
• Press down and wait for a response
before trying to scan another color.
• For best performance, hold the
sensor base flat on the color you’re
scanning.
Caring for RainbowJam
Keep food and beverages away from
RainbowJam. Take care not to spill
liquidofanykindonit,anddonot
submerge it in water. You may clean
RainbowJam’s surface with a soft, very
slightly damp cloth. If RainbowJam
is not operating properly, insert fresh
batteries.
