The LCD monitor
Introduction
This 32”/42” LCD monitor is mainly designed for the public information display.
With its high resolution LCD panel and a wide variety of I/O ports, this monitor
works perfectly with various devices and applications.

After unpacking LCD monitor, make sure the following items are included in the
box and are in good condition:

If you find that any item to be missing or appear to be damaged, contact your
dealer immediately. DO NOT throw away the packing material or shipping carton
in case you need to ship or store the LCD monitor in the future.

Installation
Please read the user’s manual carefully before performing the installation.
The power consumption of the display is approximately 270 watts.
Please use the power cord designated for the product. When an extension cord is
required, use one with the correct power rating. The cord must be grounded and
the grounding feature must not be defeated.
The product should be installed on a flat surface to avoid tipping. Space should be
maintained between the back of the product and the wall for proper ventilation. If
you would like to mount the monitor to the wall, please see page 6, for additional
information.
Please ensure the product is installed with the screen in landscape orientation.
Any 90° clockwise or counterclockwise installation may induce poor ventilation
and successive component damage.
Important Safety Guidelines
This product is designed and manufactured to operate within defined design limits,
and misuse may result in electric shock or fire.
To prevent the product from being damaged, the following rules should be
observed for the installation, use and maintenance of the product. Read the
following safety instructions before operating the display. Keep these instructions
in a safe place for future reference.
z To avoid the risk of electric shock or component damage, switch off the power
before connecting other components to the LCD monitor.
z Unplug the power cord before cleaning the LCD monitor. A damp cloth is
sufficient for cleaning the LCD monitor. Do not use a liquid or a spray cleaner
for cleaning the product. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
z Always use the accessories recommended by the manufacturer to insure
compatibility.
z When moving the LCD monitor from an area of low temperature to an area of
high temperature, condensation may form on the housing.
z Do not place the LCD monitor on an unstable cart, stand, or table. If the LCD
monitor falls, it can injure a person and cause serious damage to the appliance.
Use only a cart or stand recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the
LCD monitor.
z Any heat source should maintain a distance of at least 5 feet away from the
LCD monitor, i.e. radiator, heater, oven, amplifier etc. Do not install the product
too close to anything that produces smoke or moisture. Operating the product
close to smoke or moisture may cause fire or electric shock.
z Slots and openings in the back and bottom of the cabinet are provided for
ventilation. To ensure reliable operation of the LCD monitor and to protect it
from overheating, be sure these openings are not blocked or covered.
z Never push any object into the slot on the LCD monitor cabinet. Do not place
any objects on the top of the product. It could short circuit parts causing a fire

or electric shock. Never spill liquids on the LCD monitor.
z The LCD monitor should be operated only from the type of power source
indicated on the label.
z The LCD monitor is equipped with a three-pronged grounded plug, a plug with
a third (grounding) pin. This plug will fit only into a grounded power outlet as a
safety feature. If your outlet does not accommodate the three-wire plug, have
an electrician install the correct outlet, or use an adapter to ground the
appliance safely. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the grounded plug.
z Only the marked power source can be used for the product. Any power source
other than the specified one may cause fire or electric shock.
z Do not touch the power cord during lightning. To avoid electric shock, avoid
handling the power cord during electrical storms.
z Do not attempt to repair or service the product yourself. Opening or removing
the back cover may expose you to high voltages, the risk of electric shock, and
other hazards. If repair is required, please contact your dealer and refer all
servicing to qualified service personnel.
z Do not use the product if any abnormality occurs. If any smoke or odor
becomes apparent, unplug the power cord and contact your dealer
immediately. Do not try to repair the product yourself.
z Do not install the product in an area with heavy dust or high humidity.
Operating the product in environments with heavy dust or high humidity may
cause fire or electric shock.
z To avoid risk of electric shock, do not touch the connector with wet hands.
z Insert batteries in accordance with instructions while using the remote control.
Incorrect polarities may cause damage and leakage of the batteries, operator
injury and contamination the remote control.
z Operating environment: Temperature: 0°C ~ 40°C, Humidity: 10% to 90%
non-condensing, Altitude: 0~10,000 ft.

Note:
Power indicator: If light is blue, the monitor is turned on. If the light is blinking,
the monitor is turned off and is in standby mode. If the light is off, the inverter
connector is not connected and no power is provided to the display panel.

1. Unplug all the cables and cords from the LCD monitor.
2. Place the LCD monitor face down on a soft and flat surface (blanket, foam,
cloth, etc) to prevent any damage to the display.
3. Gently pull the stand away from the display by grasping firmly to the base.
4. Now, the display can fit securely to a mount (sold separately) by utilizing the
mounting holes in the center of the back panel of the display (see Figure 2).
About Control Keys
The functions assigned to each individual control keys are different based on
whether the OSD Menu is activated.

HDMI input
This connection port receives audio and high definition video signal through one single
cable. It also doubles as HDCP source and DVI source with a HDMI to DVI conversion
cable. You can connect an up conversion DVD player, computer (via DVI source), or
set-top box through this cable. If you are using DVI or HDCP signal sources you will need
to connect an audio connection to the PC Audio In connector to provide audio. This
connection uses a HDMI cable or a HDMI to DVI cable.

Using the monitor
OSD (On Screen Display) Menu
The OSD Menu varies based on different input signal sources. The OSD menus
provide different control functions which allow users to optimize the picture/audio
performances for each of the input signal sources.
How to operate the OSD Menu:
1. Press to select the GROUP items that are listed horizontally on the
OSD menu.
2. Press to scroll through the function items vertically.
3. Press to enter the sub-menu. Press to adjust the setting.
4. Press to go back to the previous menu.

When VGA-PC is selected, the following OSD menu will be displayed when the

RS-485 Utility(Optional)
This LCD display comes with an optional RS-485 utility driver which allows user to
control the display via RS-485 communication port.
Main Menu
Power On/Off – To turn on/off the LCD monitor.
Run/Halt – To turn on/off the software communication.
Power -
If the monitor ID is correct, the power button will be shown as
indicated.

Slave ID – Total 16 monitors can be linked in cascade. User can assign an ID
number to a monitor by using the OSD menu.
Thermal – The monitor has two internal thermal sensors which are linked to
two fans for internal temperature control.
Temperature – The temperatures detected by the thermal sensors will be
shown on Fan1 and Fan2.
FanOn/FanOff – User can preset a temperature for the on/off of Fan1 and
Fan2. For example, if the temperature is set a 24, the fan will be
turned on at 25 and turned off at 23.
Timer – The monitor has a built-in timer which can last for about two weeks
without being connected to the power source.
Photo – The monitor is with three built in photo sensors to detect the level of ambient
light and the backlight.
Foto1, foto2 – These two sensors are located at lower left and lower right
corners for ambient light detection. The light level will be indicated on a
scale from 0 to 63.
Foto3 – This sensor is located near the backlight lamp for detecting the
backlight level.
DIMMER control – There are three options for the dimmer control.
Manual – To manually adjust the backlight level.
Auto1 – The monitor will adjust the backlight automatically in accordance with
the feed back from the light sensors.
Auto2 – It works the same way as Auto1 but in a faster speed of adjustment.

Input Sources – To select the input signals for main sources and for PIP/POP
screen.
Remote – The user can control the monitor via the control panel indicated
below.
