F Series DICOM Options

Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) is a standard for handling, storing, printing

and transmitting information. It includes a file format definition and a network communications

protocol.

The image file format definition regulates how data is saved and viewed. All modern medical imaging

systems, X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT and MRI support DICOM and use it extensively. Viewing of files must

be undertaken on DICOM compliant devices. To support this function certain Barco F series projectors

are available with DICOM compliant gamma curves.

Supported models are as follows:-

F22 Medical

 Medical option listed in the Projection, Collaboration & IP Products Pricelist.

 Available in WUXGA resolution only. Only available with the VizSim colour wheel.

 Available with Zoom, Wide and Ultra Wide lens options.

F50

 Medical option not listed in the Projection, Collaboration & IP Products Pricelist. DICOM gammas

are integral to all Firmware.

 Available in 1080, WUXGA, Panorama & WQXGA resolutions.

 Available with VizSim, VizSim Bright and High Brightness MKIII colour wheels.

Note - DICOM gammas are integral to all Firmware including the Present C CT series projectors.

- CT series projectors are only available with the High Brightness MKIII colour wheel.
