TWIN DAYBED
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Please read all instructions carefully prior to assembly. Two adults required. Parts may be very heavy.
Keep children and animals away from work area. To prevent injury, do not allow parts to fall or drop.
DO NOT push, pull or drag parts or assembled bed. To move furniture, always lift entire piece off the floor
to desired location. Keep all Side Rails and Headboard connections squared at 90˚ at all time. Failure to
follow this may result in damage to the furniture including hardware.
Daybed: Side Rails in upper position requires mattress only. Bunky board is optional. Side Rails in lower
position - use box spring & mattress.
To avoid injuries, do no allow your child to play underneath the daybed.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
PRE-ASSEMBLY:
The illustrations provided allow for easier assembly when used in conjunction with this assembly instructions.
Sketch provided may show a different design than your daybed.
Remove all parts and hardware from the box and lay out on a clear, carpeted or scratch-free work surface.
The shipping box provides an ideal work surface to avoid damaging or loosing parts during assembly. Do not
dispose of any contents until assembly is completed to avoid accidentally discarding small parts or hardware.
Use the parts and hardware lists to identify and separate each of the pieces included.
Do not fully tighten all bolts until all parts are assembled in place. Failure to follow this may cause bolts to
misalign during assembly. If using power tools, please use caution to avoid over tightening. This can cause
damages to the furniture, including wood/parts to split or inserts to strip out of the legs.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Screw the 4 Turned Legs* (E) into the bottom of the leg posts and the 4 Finials* (F) to the top of the leg posts.
Skip this step if you do not have turned legs or finials.
2. Stand Headboard (A) up and screw in 2 Headless bolts (I) into the holes with the threaded inserts in each leg
until they do not go in any further, leaving about 1 3/4” of the other end of the bolt exposed. Detail #1.
3. Attach 1 Side Rail (C) with the cleat facing inside of the bed, to the Headboard by sliding the predrilled holes
at the end into the 2 Headless Bolts that you just connected. The bolts now appear in the two large holes in
the Side Rail. Slide a U-shaped Washer (J) over each Headless Bolt (I) so the washer conforms to the large
hole in the Side Rail. Loosely
hand tighten a Hex Nut (K) to each bolt. Do not use wrench yet. Detail #1.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 with the other Side Rail.
5. Repeat Step 2 to attach the remaining 4 Headless bolts (I) to Headboard (B). Simultaneously, lift both Side
Rails connected to Headboard (A) and slide them onto the Headless bolts of Headboard (B) and repeat Step 3.
6. Arrange the Slat Roll (D) with fabric strip facing up, along the support cleats and screw one Wood Screw (L)
through each predrilled holes in the slats. The 1st and last slat should be placed on the outside of the small
cleat at each end. Detail #1 & 4. Now, tighten all Hex Nuts using the 3/8” Wrench (M), but do not over tighten.
7. Use Hex Key (P) and Large Bolts (Q) to attach the Back Panel (H) to the daybed, starting with the top hole on
each side. For the bottom hole, place 1 Rubber Washer* (O) between the leg and the back panel. Detail #2.
8. Pop-up Trundle**: With one person at each end of the Front Panel** (G), lift and match the predrilled holes to
the holes in the Pop-Up Trundle** (O) and hand tighten all 6 Small Bolts** (N). Detail #3. Now, use a Hex
Key (P) to further tighten the bolts. Screw in the bolts securely, but use caution to avoid over tightening.
Follow operating instructions on yellow tag on trundle. Mattress not to exceed 9” profile. Moving Trundle once
it’s assembled: place both hands under the Front Panel and hold the trundle while pushing trundle under the
daybed. To take trundle out, place both hands under the Front Panel and while holding the trundle, slowly pull
it out from under the daybed. DO NOT push or pull the top of Front Panel or elsewhere, damages may result.
