FAMILIARIZATION
This Cart Station, (PN: 284107-00) is a wall or table mounted power supply to provide power to the material cart that is sup-
plied with the ProJet® 6000 / 7000. If the cart is removed from the printer, it can be connected to the Cart Station instead.
Once connected to the Cart Station, the cart will perform the following:
1. Pump material from the print tray to the cart until the tray is empty or the cart is full.
2. Heat the material to the proper temperature.
3. Stir the material at xed time intervals to keep the material homogeneous.
Each Cart Station will maintain one material cart. 3D Systems recommends proper material storage, as this is an important
factor of achieving the ne details and reliable material properties that the ProJet 6000/7000 can provide.

OPERATION
NOTE: The material requires 24 hours to heat prior to use. Avoid heating material over 72 hours; doing so will
cause the material to age.
13
NOTE: Before every use, verify the umbilical plug and connector are clean before connecting.
Caution: Never disconnect the station from the cart while it is stirring or pumping. First, cancel the operation
in the User Screen or turn off the power switch before disconnecting from cart.
Once powered up, the system will go through the
“System Check” that includes a 24 volt power supply
check, controller hardware check and cart connection
check.
If cart is connected and all cart’s sensors are
within the expected range “Cart is detected” will
appear on the display screen.
If cart is connected, but if any of the sensors are
out of range or not connected, an Error will occur
and will halt the system. The error message will
display the cause of the halt on the screen.
If cart is not connected, an Error message will
display “No Cart detected.” This system state will
not halt the system.
System Check
After the System Check, the “Main Menu Screen” will
display along with the “System settings” options and
status of the cart. RUN (6000 Cart)” or “RUN (7000

Before attempting to clean away any liquids or debris that may come into contact with the cart station, turn off the
power, unplug the Umbilical, and unplug the station’s power cord.
The Cart Station housing may be cleaned with a towel that has been dampened with detergent and water. How-
ever, the station is not water or air tight, so care must be taken to ensure no water or other uids enter through
the ventilation holes. Any aerosol, water, or paint sprays should be directed away from the station. Contact 3D
customer support if further cleaning is required.
Keep the Umbilical plug and connector clean.
When not in use, the Umbilical should be placed in the holder, to keep it out of the way.
Keep Umbilical connector away from liquids, grease, dirt, and dust.
