unplug it after use, as the proximity of

water may pose a hazard, even when the

hairdryer is turned off.

ñ Do not use the hair straightener

with wet hands. Do not use the hair

straightener near water contained in

bathtubs, basins or other vessels.

Use

IMPORTANT: THIS PRODUCT REACHES

HIGH TEMPERATURES

1. Remove all packing before fist use

2. DO NOT plug in until ready to use

3. Ensure hair is completely dry and tangle

free before use.

4. Plug into a suitable main supply when

the straightener is ready for use. There ia

no need to preheat the straightener.

5. Always place straightener on a solid, flat,

heat resistant surface.

6. Turn the straightener on, to the desired

heat setting. The straightener will be

ready to use within a few seconds.

7. Separate a section of hair approximately

5cm in width and smooth it out with a

brush.

8. Place the chosen section of hair between

the plates of the straightener and close

the plates. Take care not to touch the

very hot plates.

9. Hold in place for a few seconds until the

hair is heated - this will be almost instant

- and pull through hair from the root to

the tips, maintaining some tension.

10. Repeat the process until the desired

hairstyle is achieved. When holding the

straightener always ensure fingertips are

placed away from the hot plates.

Using your Digital Temperature Control

& Display

ñ Once the appliance is plugged in to a

suitable mains supply, press the On/Off

button for 1 second and the straightener

will begin to heat up - note that this will be

almost instantaneous. Use the up and

down temperature control to select your

desired setting (160ÆC, 180ÆC, 200ÆC).

The maker spots indicate the selected

setting. When the straightener is first

switched on, the temperature is always at

the lowest setting of 160ÆC.

ñ Once you have finished straightening your

hair, simply push the on/off button once

more and the unit will switch off- note that

it is unadvisable to leave your straightener

plugged in to a mains supply even if the

unit is switched off.

ñ For your safety, this product has an

automatic shut off feature. After 30

minutes of use, the appliance will

automatically shut down and enter a

STANDBY mode, which will appear on the

digital display. The appliance will remain

in this status with backlight for 15 minutes.

In this status there is no power and the

heating plate is not heating up. The

appliance will resume operation

immediately upon press the on/off button

fro a second.

CAUTION!

ñ This straightener reach very high

temperatures. Do not leave on your hair

for more than a few seconds as this may

damage your hair.

ñ Never allow plates to come into contact

with skin.

ñ Never cover the unit with anything, such

as a towel.

ñ Never place on a surface that isn’t heat

resistant and always position out of reach

of children.

ñ Do not immerse any part of the unit, cord

set or plug in water or any other liquid.

ñ Switch off and allow to cool full, away from

children on a heat resistant surface before

cleaning and storage.

Hints & Tips

ñ Hair should be completely dry to achieve

best results

ñ Keep the strands of hair smooth whilst you

work, to avoid ridges half way down.

ñ Use the 160ÆC setting for fine hair and

everyday straightening

ñ Use the 180ÆC setting for salon

professional results

ñ Use the 200ÆC for thick and difficult hair.

Cleaning & Maintenance

ñ Unplug the straightener from the supply

socket and allow to cool fully before

attempting to clean. This appliance

reaches very high temperatures when

switched on and will take time to cool

down fully. Whilst cooling place on a heat

resistant surface, away from children and

in a safe place. Never cover.

ñ The casing may then be cleaned by

wiping over with a soft damp cloth

(moistened with water only).Dry

thoroughly with soft towel before re-using.

ñ Do not use harsh abrasives or cleaners.

ñ Do not immerse the unit, cord set or plug

in water or any other liquid.

ñ Ensure straightener is completely cool and

dry.

ñ Do not wrap the supply cord around the

appliance.

ñ Store in original box, in a cool, dry, safe

place out of children’s reach.
