Safety instructions
Injury hazard: The measuring edges are sharp and pointed!
Therefore, only hold the measuring device on the handles.
Do not let children play with the measuring device. They can
injure themselves on the sharp measuring edges or swallow the
battery/battery compartment lid.
Measure very carefully on sensitive surfaces, in order to avoid
leaving scratch marks.
Do not connect any voltage to any part of the digital caliper
gauge (e.g. for engraving with an electric pen), as the switch
could otherwise be damaged.
The digital caliper gauge is designed for private household use.
It is unsuitable for use in workshops, jewellery shops, etc.

Functions
1. The zero setting in any position simplifies stage measurements.
Press the zero gauge (ZERO) in order to define the zero point.
This enables difference measurements (negative measurements
are displayed with a „- “).
2. Inch/mm conversion in any position. Press the mm/inch key in
order to display the measurement result in a different unit.
3. For very precise measurements, the caliper gauge can be
operated particularly precisely using the fine-tuning wheel.
4. Automatic and manual power switch-on/switch-off.
Maintenance/Storage
1. Prior to use, clean the surface of the measuring scale with a dry
and clean cloth (or a light cleaning oil). Protect the measuring
scale from watery liquid.
2. Only clean with a dry cloth and some cleaning oil; do not use
any water, solvent or abrasive detergent.
3. Remove the battery if the instrument is not being used for a
longer period of time.
4. Preferably store the caliper gauge in the case in order to provide
optimum protection.
Use
1. Preparation:
(1) Wipe of the surface of the measuring scale and clean the
measuring surfaces.
(2) Loosen and move the safety screw, check the ease of movement
over the entire measuring range.
(3) Insert battery as described on page 8.
(4) Switch on device and check whether the LCD display and all keys
function faultlessly.
2. Measurement:
(1) Press the On/Off key in order to switch on the power. The device is
also switched on by activating the caliper gauge.
(2) Press mm/inch key in order to select the required unit of measure.
(3) Move the slider until the outer measurement surfaces touch
lightly, then press the zero gauge (ZERO) in order to start the
regular measurement. With the safety screw, you can fix the
caliper gauge in order to ensure the measurement result.

(4) Press the On/Off key in order to switch off the power; if the slider
is no longer used after the end of the measurements, the display
will switch off after approx. 4-5 minutes.
Inserting the battery
An abnormal display (flashing numbers or no display at all)
indicates a low battery voltage and the battery must be
replaced. Remove the battery lid in the direction of the arrow
and insert the battery or replace a used battery with a new one.
When inserting, pay attention to the correct polarity, the positive
terminal of the battery must be pointing upwards. Close the lid
again after inserting the battery. If the battery supplied with the
product does not work correctly (e.g. the voltage is low due to
being stored for too long), please contact the supplier.
Note:
1. After inserting the battery, the caliper gauge requires several
seconds (approx. 5-6 seconds) in order to set itself. The caliper
gauge can only be switched on again after the end of the setting
process.
2. Reset the zero point of the measurement after replacing the
battery.
Instructions for batteries
Never attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Explosion hazard!
Keep batteries away from children, do not throw them into fire,
do not short-circuit batteries and never dismantle batteries.
Immediately contact a doctor, if a battery has been swallowed.
Clean the battery and device contacts prior to insertion, if
required.
Immediately remove depleted batteries from the device.
Increased leakage hazard!
Do not expose batteries to any extreme conditions, e.g. on
radiators, direct sunlight! Increased leakage hazard!
Failure to comply with this could result in batteries being
discharged beyond their final charge voltage and leaking.
Remove batteries immediately, in order to avoid damage.

disposed of with household waste!
Every consumer is legally obligated to submit batteries and
rechargeable batteries to the collection centre of his local
authority, district or to retailers. All batteries and rechargeable
batteries can thereby be disposed of in an environmentally
friendly manner.

centre for electrical waste.
Remove the battery beforehand and dispose of it properly in a
collection container for batteries.
The packaging materials are also raw materials! Therefore,
submit them for recycling. Your responsible local authority will
inform you about addresses and opening times of collection
centres.
