DES K TYPE MULTIPLE CHARGER FOR RP - 8 00 TYPE VOICE PAGERS
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Descri ption
Desk type multiple charter, it can recharge up to 50 units of
pagers model RP -8 00. The charger is fully automatic and CPU
(microprocessor) controlled, controlling the battery condition
and the charging process, independently for every charging
position. Multi -color LED’s indicate the status of every pager in
the charger. Automatic charge stop at full charge and trickle
charge process start. Built -in Swi tching type 230VAC power
supply and low nois e cooling fan.
General Operation
1. Connect the desk charter to a 230VAC outlet.
2. Switch charger ON using the ON/OFF switch located on the rear side of the charter.
3. Make sure that all pagers are switched OF F before inserting them into the charter.
4. Then insert one or more pagers into the charger.
5. LED’s will be lighted in Red color during the charging process.
6. LED’s will turn to Green color when charging is completed an d trickle charge process is running .
7. When charge is completed (or during the trickle charge process), remove the pagers from the charger.
8. If an LED will light up in Yellow color, the battery is detected as defective and it must be replaced.
NOTICE !
1. Turn OFF all pagers before i nserting them into the charger for battery charging.
2. Do never charge alkaline batteries, as alkaline batteries may explode and damage the radio and the charger.
3. To obtain the maximum performance from the batteries, recharge it only when they are full y discharged.
4. The maximum performance of the batteries may be obtained after at least 4 -5 complete charge/discharge processes
5. The time necessary for a complete charge of a set of 1500mAh NI -MH batteries is approximately 5 hours. This time
has to be c onsidered as indicative and it might be quite differnt (shorter or longer). In fact, charging time also depends
on battery condition, current charging status and quality of the batteries.
6. In any case, pagers should not be recharged for more than 12 hours.

WARNING !
Always turn OFF a ll pagers before inserting them into
the charger. Do never charge alkaline batteries, as this
may result in explosion of the batteries and damage to
the radios and charger.
